Undoubtedly this is the biggest story ever told. And the truth got smaller and smaller as history moved forward. “Jesus got crucified for the sins of Humanity and he was the Son of God.” They said. The “original sin”, is what the religious people call Humanity’s innate follies and our shortcomings as people. The old testament supports this theory and the God of the old testament is an angry, vengeful God who holds grudges and a very short tempered when infidelity and/or exclusivity of his “relationship” comes in to question. Philosophers and scholars have questioned the validity of the concept of original sin and the verdict is still out. As most lies go, the best deceptions all have a germane of truth in them. Jesus was a real man, a teacher and prophet of his time with a very unique and genuine concept to teach Humanity. The Truth. But that’s where the history ended and fantasy and fiction begun.

I thought I'd sit down and write about a few of my personal favorite cases of petroglyphs that seem to point toward the "ancient astronaut" theory, as it's become popular to call it. I don't really like that name, personally, because it's come to denote aliens visiting since the beginning of time and Erik VonDaniken and Zecharia Sitchin. I do think there's an interesting story in these ancient petroglyphs and that it sometimes gets lost in the hype, both for and against, VonDaniken and Sitchin as larger than life people, rather than the history and research itself. Each of these petroglyphs seems to tie into a belief in extraterrestrial life, which in turn points toward the common belief in an ancient flood having wiped out much, if not most, of humanity in antiquity. For today, I'd just like to give some minimal background, present a few petroglyphs, and give what I know of the story that goes along with them. Each of the ones that I'm showing here are from the Americas, almost all from the American southwest, although there are examples from around the world that I'd like to eventually write about, as well as many archaeological artifacts that go along with this story.
