A team of British and American chemists have created the first interlocked molecules, which, while not chemically bonded, are still stuck together. They describe it as "a 'torso' with two or more 'limbs' that are completely enveloped in a one-piece 'suit'." They tout this as a step toward making artificial systems similar to a living cell.
