The first time that Jason Martell ripped off my article, I sent him an e-mail. He never responded, but when Michael Bourne, owner and webmaster of Book of THoTH contacted him, he basically replied that he'd take it down, but he was glad that people thought he had written my article.
Well, that didn't last long. He took it down from his main site, and has now posted it on his blog, again, having taken off my name and used the entire article, insinuating that it's his own.
I'd appreciate it if anyone who cares, which, I'm sure is very few people, take the time to e-mail Jason(who makes his living off of his "research", mostly stolen, and speaking engagements in person and on TV) and give him a piece of your mind for all the authors he's ripped off to prop up his fake career. Then tell him that Dustin sent you. Thanks.

Guess what Jason? Your hosting company on your blog was quite interested that you plagiarized my work. They'll be in touch. ;-)
BTW, thanks for posting that twice. Guess once wasn't enough to get your point across, eh? Or, were you upset that you actually put your name on a nasty comment this time?
I'll email him alright Dustin. Pft..what a twit!
Kathy katsmeow :)
Thanks Kathy! Much like Lesley over at The Debris Field Blog, I'm starting to wonder just what he's written and what's he's ripped off to further his career. Hopefully more people will start taking a look to see what's his and what isn't. I know since taking a look myself I've found that many articles I assumed years ago were his, really aren't, and the authors had no idea their stuff was on his site.
Shame really. Cheaters never win and you can praise someone without stealing. Take it as praise, Dustin. :) emailing now. :/
What a f*ckwit.
Ah, plagiarism. Fun stuff. At least be flattered. I've found it goes with the territory among certain, um, "characters" in the "paranormal" field.
Thanks Jezzie.
Thanks Kathy.
When people have used anything of mine, even if it's the full article, as long as they put my name on it as the author, and a link to either BoT or here, I'm fine with it.
Jason bugs me because he took my name off, changed the title, and used the full thing WITH a couple of paragraph breaks that I didn't have originally. Then, he not only did it once, but twice, probably thinking I wouldn't be paying attention anymore. Plus, it's looking more and more like everything he's ever written about has been a slight change of Sitchin's work or direct copy and pastes of other smaller authors. And, somehow, this guy makes a living off of it...
Thanks Mac. The guy drives me nuts because he's so cavalier about it. I try to be flattered, I really do.
Hey Dustin my friend, be flattered, the guy can't think of anything original, so he steals your stuff, it really is tragic though but a lot of this goes on.
later,,,,,
One of these days Jason is going to learn the hard way about the legal ramifications of plagiarizing someone else's work.
That day will probably come when I find him doing it with something that I wrote.

Dustin:
An addendum - a quick trip to the XFacts site reveals the following at the bottom of every page:
"No part of this site may be copied or reproduced without permission - Xfacts.com"
Good to see he has a sense of humour.
Paul
Wow, your latest revelations and what's happening here make this story so much sadder. If I hadn't seen now, I would've found it awfully hard to believe that the guy had the gall to actually stop over here and badmouth you over his blatant theft.
This isn't the Martel I knew six years ago, I wonder what happened to him. Maybe the "snatchers" have "replaced" him and are now merely using his body as a shell, hehe.
Dustin, can you post the link to Martel's blog, where that article is copied? We should start pouncing on him over there.
And don't lose heart man, as the people say, feel flattered (:-)
Sol
Paul, true enough. I'm sure with your background you could take care of him. Funny thing is, almost everything on his site has been written by other people, and somehow it's gone unnoticed for long enough for him to continue his TV career.
Sol, I think THoTH got to him and he took it down, but I'm going to go look right now and if it's still up, I'll leave a link to his blog for people to comment over there.
By the way, Paul, it's awful nice of him to protect his plagiarized material from other people like him...sheesh
