I've said it before and I'll say it again...enjoy your "cheap" gas while you can, it's only around for the election. Gee, I wonder who the oil cartels want to win the elections?

Remember when gas cost $1.46 a gallon? Yeah...the pre-Bush days.

So, basically you're saying you have no comprehension of how Oil price manipulation works. It has nothing to do with "Bush" per se.

Believe me, I have insider info.

Please educate yourself. Thank you.

Actually Jenn, it has a lot to do with the administration and their ties to big oil. Please educate yourself and quit spewing what you've been told to say by others. Thinking for yourself is fun sometimes. :-)

Oh come on, you don't really think the Bush Admin. would be manipulating oil prices for their own political gain, do you? How can you be so cynical :)

Come on, can't we all just get along?

Tom, good point. Who could ever imagine such a thing? :-)

Anita, one would hope...but that Jenn's just mean! Hehe...

But...that's so stupid to do something like that, as it's a no win situation for either party, and just increases the bipartisanship in Washington.

If the Dems win and the prices go up, they'll complain they're being persecuted by OPEC and the oil companies, and if the Reps win and the prices go up, they'll be accused of price manipulation to win the election and erode even more of their already shaky support.

THAT'S why I feel OPEC is doing this, as in the end, it doesn't really help either party, does it? It's an easy way for them to screw with us. You can agree or disagree, but either way OPEC and the oil companies will be laughing all the way the to the bank.

That's a great point Jezzie. I, personally, don't think republicans as a whole would be involved in anything like that, just the few that happen to be deeply invested in oil companies. You might be right on in your thoughts, though.
