For anyone who's been trying to keep up with Mac Tonnies' recent flood of posts on the "cryptoterrestrial hypothesis" or, simply CTH, I decided to put together a list of links to scroll through to make it a little easier to find them at this point. These posts make up what I assume will be the backbone of his upcoming book, which should be a very thought provoking read.
While I am not 100% sold on the theory, as I've said before it's an extremely intriguing, interesting idea that's honestly a lot of fun to mull through the possibilities, and outcomes of. There is, simply put, no single theory out there that can adequately explain the entire phenomenon. So, enjoy a little "outside of the box" thinking on this one.

Hey, thanks! This could come in quite handy! ;-)
BTW, looks I was mistaken about not being able to post to Blogger blogs that had been chosen for the "Rapture."
This is a great service you provided Dustin. Tonnies' CTH idea is interesting; I think there's a lot there. I've been working on a little item on it, and your list will help :)

Dustin--
Your list will never be complete. I just added two new essays. ;-)
Haha. I can't wait to read them Mac. I'm going to do an update tomorrow, and I figured that I'll be posting that I've edited this post. That way, the people at the BoT forums can just keep up by clicking on this link. I think it makes it easier for the folks that don't read your blog everyday to keep up. Of course, what are they thinking not reading everyday? ;-)
Thanks for the link, by the way, too!
"There is, simply put, no single theory out there that can adequately explain the entire phenomenon."
Don't you mean "that I'm aware of"?
I believe it can be hypothetically accounted for rather handily in a single package... and since at this point the entire matter is hypothetical (for us plebes at least), I'm regularly baffled by the lack of a comprehensive overview hypothesis despite the number and variety of those actively interested in the field.
That's a good point Tiger. I look at it two ways, really.
One, there's a dozen(for instance) phenomenon being lumped together into one right now and people are trying to explain them all as one. If that's the case, then there will never be one explanation that will solve it all...it will be a variety of conclusions that only connect to us at this point because they're "unknown" to us.
Two, it's really just one, single, complicated phenomenon which needs to be solved. If this is the case, in time, it will most likely be explained. If there's that explanation out there that adequately explains it all right now as we speak, I don't know about it. That doesn't mean it doesn't exist, but I don't think I've seen it yet.
Either way, IMHO, it's not out there right now. One way it won't ever be, one way it might be sooner or later. If it's out there, then I, and most others, just haven't recognized it yet, I guess.
Thanks for the comment Tiger.
