In another "disturbing event" which shows "we are crossing climate thresholds" an ancient ice shelf the size of 11,000 football fields(41 square miles) has broken off of Canada's arctic. It drifted 31 miles off shore before getting bogged down in the winter sea water, where it now sits.

With all of the evidence and scientists who have spent time researching the phenomena of global warming, it alarms me that we still have such a raging debate as to whether it's real or not. Lets just face the facts, as I see them:

It's real.

We're going to have to do something about it, so we might as well quit arguing and start doing something tangible.

In 30 years (or less), the deniers will be the very ones claiming "I told you so!"

I cannot believe that there are those out there this still deny this is happening. It's real, and is very scary!

I agree, Dustin, it's real.

We are going through one of the worst winters on record for my area. Power outages are a very common occurrence these days.

I am also amazed that there are still people who don't believe in global warming!

We're got an awareness thing going on over at my blog about plastic bags - this year I plan to be more vocal on the environment and you've got it completely right there!

I'm about to start reading Michael Crichton's State of Fear which I'm lead to believe says that global warming is a myth - grrrrrr

Check out the post here!

So true everyone. It's finny that everyone seems to buy into global warming except the few people that benefit the most from harming the environment...

Mac, I think you hit the nail on the head on that one! ;-)

I'll be sure to check out your link here soon lee, thanks for dropping by.
