In late October I wrote about part I of a witness account of The Battle of Los Angeles by C Scott Littleton, a professor at Occidental College, and the background that I knew of the story. Part II of his account is now up, and follows the story through to the research that he is now conducting with Frank Warren. They believe that they've tracked the craft's path that night, over the California coast, and are looking for more witnesses. This is certainly one of the most interesting UFO cases in history, and was witnessed by possibly more than a million people. Here's a summary from Littleton as to what he believes is compelling about this case, beyond the fact that he witnessed it himself.

• The object’s purposeful, intelligently controlled flight pattern;

• Its invulnerability to an intense anti-aircraft barrage;

• Its size (perhaps 800 feet in diameter);

• Its bright white (and, in some accounts, orange) glow, which was evident even in the searchlight beams;

• Its configuration (oval, with a protuberance on the dorsal side);

• Its probable EMF impact on our pursuit planes that flew too close;

• And the absence of any post-war Japanese record of one of their planes being over Los Angeles that night.
