Just a quick update on the Signs of the Times forum that I spoke about in my last post. I've been given a website that really explains it all. For a little bit of background, Book of THoTH was called a "psy-ops" site, and each and every reason given was completely and totally false. Their research was either hopelessly wrong, or purposefully skewed. I was open to the possibility that they were just a little misguided, so I joined their forum to set the record straight. Long story short, I was banned, my posts edited to make me look stupid. I realized I was dealing with a cult, and I told them as much. The cult is run by a woman named Laura, who "channels" alien beings through a Ouija board, and then this "truth" is passed onto their believers as the one and only truth.

So, after I was banned, I've been told that they've now identified me by name(great research, it's in my e-mail address!), and have posted that I'm a Zionist Reptilian. Yes, you read that right...I'm apparently a pro-Israeli, conspiracy theory living, shape shifting alien. Can you believe it?

So, long story short, I was right. They're really just a cult. Read all about it at the site below:

http://www.cassiopaeacult.com/

I'm not their only victim, and why they chose us is totally beyond me. I rarely say this, as you all know, but this bunch is completely and totally insane. Not that I expect that the readers of this site would buy into their BS, but just beware.

OK, I know. It's been two weeks. I'm such a bad blogger these days. In my defense, I only have a few daylight hours off of work this week, and the same next week! So, honestly, updates might be sparse.

I do have some good news, though. Book of THoTH: Wisdom of the Ages article winners addresses have been sent along to Reality Entertainment, and prizes should be in your mailboxes soon! The final typos and spelling edits are being done as I write this, and the book should be in publication very soon.

The upcoming UFO DVD is also in final editing stages, and a new DVD, on ghosts this time, is just beginning to ramp up with ghost hunting expeditions being filmed in the UK right now.

In other news, I have a question for all the knowledgeable people out there. Recently Book of THoTH has been defamed as a "psy-ops site" but a site called "Signs of the Times". I guess it's run by someone who claims to channel Cassopeians, so I think they're off to a dubious start right there in my mind. However, if anyone out there has any experience with them, I'd be curious to hear about it. Going on the their forums and discussing it with them is kind of like bashing your head against a brick wall...

One last thing for the day. I'd like to send some well wishes to a couple of people I consider my on-line friends out there who are having rough times. Mac Tonnies has been battling tinitus. Gary Osborn was having some problems with a sick family member last time I heard from him. My friend Kathy has had numerous close friends die or get diagnosed with cancer lately, and my longtime friend WhiteTiger from Book of THoTH has had serious heart problems for a while now, and has dropped off our radar. I wish each of you the very best with what you're going through.

Of course, lots of people are still e-mailing and asking questions about The Book of THoTH article competition, which just ended.

If you were a winner, and you submitted an e-mail address, you should have received an e-mail confirming that your article will be in the book by now. As the e-mail stated, you'll need to send your address back so that you can receive your prizes, which, will be two DVD's, 6 CD's, and a grab bag of other prizes for most people, from Reality Entertainment. These prizes will be sent to you first, and then as soon as the book is published, you'll also be receiving a copy of it.

If you haven't received an e-mail, and you submitted an article, please check the list of winners to see if your article is among them. If it is, please send me an e-mail immediately using the "e-mail me" button in the right hand sidebar of this blog, and we'll get you taken care of.

If you weren't a winner, don't fret. The articles were so excellent that Reality Entertainment has confirmed that there will be a Volume Two! We'll be announcing details later in the year, but we will feature another article competition coming up this year, for another book to be released next year sometime.

There's a new weekly feature on the Book of THoTH front page that I'd like to direct your attention to. Mrparanormal, of the Paranormal Palace, is giving TV viewers a list of interesting historical and/or paranormal shows on TV each week. Just go to the front page, and look for "This Week's What to Watch on TV" every Monday.

A big thanks to BoT member mrparanormal for helping out on this. He's been a great sport helping BoT out with this when he's got a paranormal site of his own, and I hope everyone checks out his Paranormal Palace site, as well as our new weekly TV listings.

I'd like to again mention The Paranormal Blog, and the kind mention they gave me the other day.

I will be naming five blogs myself, I just haven't gotten a moment to really think about it yet. So, keep an eye out here for that coming up real soon.

Apologies for another busy week in the real world and for not updating here! I've got a few things that I need to talk about today, and then it's back to work for me. Like I said before, I think things will calm down for me and I can get back on a regular posting routine by the end of the month. Rather than putting the blog on hiatus, I'd rather just update when I can, and I hope that some of you who enjoy this blog will stick with me.

Well, good news is finally here. We are gearing up to announce the winners very soon. Even better news for all you authors out there, is that Reality Entertainment has agreed to more than double the size of the book. Instead of 20 published articles, there will now be 50! All of you eager authors won't have to wait much longer. Winners will be announced on the Book of THoTH front page, and each will receive an e-mail as well. Thanks to everyone who submitted an article. They were all such a joy to read through. There's really a lot of talented authors out there who deserve a chance at being published, and hopefully for those of you who wish to follow that path this will get you a foot in the door.

Last, but certainly not least, each of the sites/people listed below has been instrumental in assisting us with getting out the word on this competition, and we would like to thank them for helping out along the way. You'll be seeing each of their names and urls in the book, as well.

Book of THoTH articles have really been piling up on me here, but there's been a couple of really great exclusive articles this week that I think deserve some attention.

Nick Pope wrote a very interesting article for BoT on The Cosford Incident.

For those who aren't familiar with it, here's the intro that Mr. Pope has written for his article:

On 30 and 31 March 1993 there was a series of UFO sightings in the UK involving over a hundred witnesses. Many of these were police officers and military personnel. The UFO also flew directly over two RAF bases. What follows is the extraordinary story of what has been dubbed The British UFO Mystery.

Overview

The first sighting took place on 30 March at around 8.30pm in Somerset. This was followed by a sighting at 9pm in the Quantock Hills. The witness was a police officer who, together with a group of scouts, had seen a craft that he described as looking "like two Concordes flying side by side and joined together". The reports came in thick and fast and when I arrived at work the following morning I received a steady stream of reports ........

...... It was soon clear that I had a major UFO event on my hands. One of the most interesting reports came from a member of the public in Rugely, Staffordshire, who reported a UFO that he estimated as being 200 metres in diameter. He and other family members told me how they had chased the object in their car and got extremely close to it, believing it had landed in a nearby field. When they got there a few seconds later, there was nothing to be seen. Many of the descriptions related to a triangular-shaped craft or of the lights perceived as being on the underside of such a craft. Indeed, in an apparent coincidence these sighting occurred three years to the very day after the famous wave of sightings in Belgium that had led to F-16 fighters being scrambled to intercept a UFO being tracked on radar.

Mr. Pope will be featured in at least one upcoming DVD from Michael Bourne and the Book of THoTH, so I think that we can all look forward to more information from him in the future.

Also on the BoT front page, Michael Bourne, aka THoTH, has written an article on recent scientific investigations into telepathy.

Interestingly, recent tests in the UK and the USA have shown intriguing results which seem to confirm the possibility of the ability to send and receive signals using only the human brain.

They were then taken to separate rooms and wired up to EEG machines, which detect activity in certain parts of the brain. When in these rooms, the subjects were exposed to the sounds of rhythmic drumming to bring their levels of consciousness to a similar state. Whilst in this state, random light flashes were beamed at the "sender". This triggered activity in the visual cortex of the brain (the area which activates with signals from the eye). Their startling discovery was that the visual cortex in the "receiver" also responded in a similar fashion, despite them not being exposed to any light flashes.

These are certainly fascinating results, and they should bear further looking into since they passed peer review and have been published in upstanding scientific journals.

THoTH promises an update to the article with findings from a recent related study in Italy, so keep an eye out for that one!

I really have to thank Sue Darroch and Matthew Didier of The Paranormal Blog for running such a great blog, and for their support.

Recently they named this blog as one of the five blogs that they respect as a blog that makes them think. They were kind enough to say:

Dustin's blog featuring scientific and paranormal news, a must read for all who love anything and everything oddly! Another daily read of ours.

If any of you aren't familiar with their blog, make sure you go check it out. It's one of the few blogs I feel is really worth a daily look at!

I really have to apologize for being gone so long! I find it hard to believe that it's been a couple of weeks, but I guess it has. For all of you that e-mailed, I'm getting through them and I will reply, but I am OK. No worries here, other than exhaustion from too much work! As much as I've been trying to keep up, I can't get on-line, even to check my e-mail, during the day anymore, and my evenings have been pretty busy keeping up with my home life and being an admin at Book of THoTH while THoTH is busy making DVDs and a book.

Most of his hard work is over for the time being, and about to pay off with, at least, a published book and a couple of DVDs this year, so I hope to have some more time quite soon. My work schedule should ease a bit by the end of the month, as well, and I certainly will get back to regular blogging as time permits. As much as I love this, the bills still have to be paid, unfortunately.

So, I'm going to update today, and do my best to update as regularly as possible through March, when, hopefully, the blog can get back to its normal schedule. Thanks for bearing with me. I've been quite impressed that the hits keep coming even when I'm not supplying anything new and interesting for everyone.

Basically...thanks for the e-mails and the interest in what I write here. It's very much appreciated.
