Location: Falkirk-Published Date: 20 March 2008-Local residents contacted The Falkirk Herald to provide eyewitness accounts of a mysterious flying object last Thursday night. It is the latest unexplained sighting in the village, which has become known as Scotland's 'UFO capital.' Colin Doyle, 28, from Hallglen, said: "My colleague and I were just coming back from a job in Bonnybridge about half past 9 and we saw this object with flashing lights in the sky.
"By the shape of it there was no way it was a plane. It looked oval shaped with flashing lights all around it, so we got out the van to have a look. After hovering for a while, it then just shot up into the sky and the speed it was going was phenomenal."
He added: "Before I just didn't believe these stories, but now I can safely say I do believe there must be something."
Gary Harkins 28, from Bonnybridge, said: "I was out walking my dog along the canal at Bonnybridge around about half 9 and saw this object in the sky and there was no way it was an aircraft. It was kind of saucer-shaped and was hovering above the ground around the height of high-rise flats and had flashing lights. The object continued to hover about for a few minutes and then just shot away at unbelievable speed."
"Seeing something like that just takes your breath away," he added.
Bonnybridge councillor Billy Buchanan, said: "These sightings highlight that the phenomenon is still ongoing, as people are still seeing something which has no rational explanation."
"The more people come forward and report these incidents and put them on record, the greater the credibility.
"If people see something they should report it to the Police and then contact The Falkirk Herald," he added.

I wonder if UFOs tend to come in clumps or at certain times of the year. Or pehaps people just notice them that way. I keep thinking about folks in future times marking their calendars with "UFO viewing season". (It is early and my mind is not in full swing yet. )
Thanks for posting that, thelmadonna. Can't wait to hear if there are more.
There was nothing new in this weeks paper, kinda glad in a way, cause it scares the bejeezus out of me, I know its not all about me,but since I moved, there have been a good few sightings reported here. Are they looking for me? This question crosses my mind every time.

I understand exactly what you mean there, thelmadonna.
The way I see things has changed enough over the years that now I am more comfortable with being able to see the UFOs than just seeing them coming without the UFO. I figure at least I will have time to say a little prayer if I see the UFO landing in my front yard.

They sure do, it's known as a UFO flap, why flap I don't know, unless it refers to people flapping their arms wildly ? although some of that could well be more people are aware after a few sightings, and therefore are more likely to report?

Some definitions of "flap" :
9. Informal A commotion or disturbance: a flap in Congress over the defense budget.
4. Informal To become upset or flustered.
Either one of these would fit the "UFO Flap".

I wonder if Gary Harkins dog reacted to it, no mention of that though.
Maybe keep telling yourself, 'those silly aliens don't scare me'........ jut curious little snarks. You control your own fear....... do not let them control it. When you feel afraid, tighten the tummy muscles and give yourself a good peptalk. I don't know, it might just help.
One thing I learned from my ordeal was the 'fear factor' will kill me alone.............. so I gotta think, I can control my own fears. Amen.
(easier said than done, I know, but have to try)

Funny, they were both 28. That's great that 2 people reported the same thing.
Yes, Thelma, remember no fear. They (some) thrive on fear. I know, like cruiser said, easy to say. Fear is such a strong emotion. If nothing more then for your health, fear, like depression can really do a number on you. I don't know how one can NOT let fear in, but I'm almost possitive it would change the whole affair if they did come to visit you again. Jim Sparks is one that comes to mind talking about no fear.
But then again, you never know? I had something happen a few months ago, that I haven't told a soul! If they can make you forget while they have you....well it just pisses me off to no end. They have no right! It gives me hate and madness instead of fear.
Thanks for the link Thelma.

Thanks for the words folks! Perhaps I could've explained the scaring me part a little bit better. It is like an adrenalin boost, butterflies in the stomach, a rushing in the ears, not a buzzing, but like your blood-pressure is raised, this is the part scares me because I dont want to have a heart attack or a brain haemorrhage, I can say though I have learned my use of cannabis helps a great deal here, another reason I love this herb.It was just the initial reading of the report, each report from my area has this effect on me,it passes, it wouldn't be long in returning if there were many of them appearing in broad daylight. A fear perhaps, a dread more likely, because I believe the day will come!

Ah the butterflies in the stomach, I know what you mean. Sometimes I try to invision what I'd feel like if they were to come in. Big ships and all. It would be such an array of feelings but I think I'd be busy trying to calm down the people around me. while yelling SEEEEE! I TOLD YOU!

Thanks for sharing Thelma..
Implant or none...seems they don't forget..
ET are not ones for leaving you alone..because years have passed...
I hope you are resting better Thelma.. I know the anxiety that can be felt from these situations..
Tick tock, people..the time is coming..for all of us to see the truth..
No one will be able to deny anything..BUT then again..it will all seem so out of this world..people wont believe their eyes.
We are aggressors and when it all comes down...It will be hard to tell how this world will actually react. Perhaps violence will ensue..with us, against them.
