Date: June 7 2008 (? just going off of memory but it is around this Date)
Location: 45 Highway South of Sandy Lake
Sighting: 1 Bright Sphere
It was a clear, calm night. It was about 12:00 am. Me and my wife were staying at her parents place in Sandy Lake. I was getting ready for bed and I was going to go put my dogs away for the night. I grabbed a flash light and some dog food for them. I walked out the back door (facing north) and starting walking east towards the dog house(its about 150 feet from the house) as I was walking I was looking at the sky like I always do. When to the south something strange caught my eye. Its not the first I've witnessed but it is always a shock. It was a really bright like but was behind a tree so I ran to the other side of the tree and saw that it was definately a UFO at about 85 degree angle overhead. If you held a nickel at arms length would be the size of it. It was bright white and was moving to the south at a slow pace. I ran to the window quickly and started banging on it. Calling everyone inside to come out. When I turned around the object accelerated at a tremendous rate. It shot in a SSE direction. My mother in law got out the door just in time to see the object. It took about 5 seconds for the object to go from almost directly overhead to out of sight. It dimmed out to nothing about 20 degrees about the horizon. My mother in law said she could see the light over my head when I was banging on the window. My wife and her father just missed it when they came out of the house. This is probably the 10th sighting I've seen in the past 5 years.

Dax!!
I am so happy you found us..I am surprised you are the only other to show from the area so far..
Welcome aboard...and thanks for your sighting...that is a eerie one you had...
Was there any sounds to it?
Was it in constant movement?
Was it flying in a straight heading or was it altering course often?
I have many more questions for you...
I did notice your question in one of my UFO threads...I will tell you I am not far from you..
I used to stay at Sandy lake..many years ago.. Ed-venture bay..every summer..
I had one experience there..that..I have posted.
Here is the link..if you care to check it out...
http://www.book-of-thoth.com/ftopict-8715.html
Thanks for sharing.I look forward to hear more of what you have encountered...
BTW...have many of your other sightings been there too?

entity,
There was no sound to the object at all. It was in constant movement it never hovered in the air. It flew in a straight line until I lost sight of it. If it did change direction it was a 5 degree turn but when it shot off it started moving so fast I was trying so hard to focus on the object I really didn't notice any direction change.
I have seen 1 other sighting near the same area, 1 above highway 16 east of Minnedosa that was confirmed by some friends of mine who also saw it crossing over highway 16 from Gladstone. I've seen several around Minnedosa and 2 out in Calgary when I was on vacation. I've always had a facination with the sky so I always have my eyes looking up.
After seening the sandy lake object I've been watching extra carefully. If you have anymore questions ask away.

Hey Dax..you dont need pictures or vids to report a sighting....It is the icing on the cake..if anyone is lucky enough to record them.
There have been millions of reports world wide.. I guess if everyone had pics..or actual proof..the world would be far more aware..and the lies about UFO and ET..would be buried as the truth would rise out..
I will do my best to help you to your 20 posts..so you can PM on here...as I would like to talk in person..I think it may be a very insightful conversation..for both if us.
Have you ever encountered any lost time during any of these sightings you have had?
Have you ever noticed any other aircraft in the area following your sightings?
Has any of these sightings changed you? As in.. the way you feel about what is going on ..on our planet..the enviroment...our species? Or maybe an insight that you never had?
Thanks for sharing...

I have never had any lost time experiences. When I see one it always seems like they are "running away" from me. I used to have dreams about them all the time. It wasn't the same dream exactly but the way they "took" me was always the same. I have never been visited by one. But once I lay eyes on them they seem to try to get away from me. I never see them just hovering. Its kinda silly way to put it. But you see all these eye witness accounts of people watching UFO's for minutes on end. I see them for such a short period of time. I know what they are tho. If they are terrestrial crafts or extra-terrestrial crafts I don't know.
I don't always check for other aircraft after a sighting but on the most recent sighting there was a satelite just north of the object.
Every sighting changes my life I believe. But not in a insightful way. I dunno.

Thanks for the reply Dax.
That is really all I have for now..but..I am sure there are other members here that will happily help you to your 20 posts.
I am rather limited for what I have left for time..this week..but..it wont take much more..for yah
Ill see yah around!
edit to add..BTW..most UFO sightings do not last very long..and if anyone does get to see them for over a couple minutes..it is not very common. Even my sightings for the most part have been only for seconds..or a few minutes.. SO don't feel left out.

Welcome Daxos, thanks so much for your account-s. Brians site is the best imho to report to. I did one time and another person from las vegas wrote in to confirm what we saw. I thought that was very cool. It's amazing how many people see these things, report them and it's still such a argueable subject, I don't get it?
Thanks for joining, there's loads to read here. Maybe you should keep a camera handy since you do get to see them often enough.
It's easy to get to 20 posts here for PMs, I'm sure you'll be there in no time.

I watched that Larry King show, very interesting, but Bill Nye got me going!
Update on my sighting. Apparently I wasn't the only one who saw that UFO, There was several other people talking about it around the town. Kinda cool.

Hey Daxos, Entity, Kira,
Guess I'll put this here, adding to your thread of sightings. Yesterday afternoon was out back sitting on the swing...... looked up and noticed what looked like a shiny small round object moving away from my location at about cloud level. It was moving in the direction of a passenger plane that was at a higher altitude off in distance. This small shiny ball moved like a satellite would maybe....... thought it was flying much to low to be a satellite. Once in the clouds I lost it. Dunno what it was. Sun was shining off to my and objects left side...... yet the object, even right side, seemed to be shining.
Not glowing, just shiny as if the sun were hitting it.
No idea what it was. We had the Thunderbirds practicing for airshow today, so I made some pictures. Wish I had the camera outside yesterday.

Hey Dax..Nice to hear that there are others that saw your UFO. It is always reassuring to ones self when others step up and say what they have seen.
Cruiser..that is a weird one.. did it alter course?...did it stay a constant speed?
Thanks for sharing gang!

Entity, .... the shiny object just seemed to be moving away from my location and upward slightly disappearing through the clouds so didn't see it beyond that point. It was moving along at a decent clip........smooth like a satellite would......seemed quicker than an airplane would travel though. Only had it in my sight for a handful of seconds.
I'll look for a similar looking pic and try posting it.
