Hey there guys
I am hopefully starting a photography degree after the summer after deciding to pursue my dreams (Interview on Thursday!). I have had an interest in photography for years but only in the past year or so has it developed into a keen hobby.
I looking at other peoples and sharing my own photographs and after browsing the Nature picture thread, I decided that we should have a place to all post our pictures Artistic, fun...any as long as you took them or are in them
It's good to share! Ill start with one of mine first, one of my favourites.
Shame I missed off the tip of the beak but despite criticism I still love this little guy
Right... again I cannot get the posting of images right Could somebody give me a little help please
Thanks alot guys...get posting!
EDIT: Thanks to Momma I have fixed the image...now get posting!

You need to register in the Gallery Sacred...
Once your application is approved..you can upload your pics into it using 'Browse'....and copy from there..
Shout up if you need any help...
Cool idea btw...

Jail Bird?
Learning....
House call....
Sparrowhawk & Lunch
Hi Fury
I'm no great photograther, I certainly use software to enhance my photos too.
The young crows here occur in the Central London courtyard I live in, they nest in a huge 'London Plane Tree' we have in it.
All these crow pictures where take on the first day out the nest.
The Sparrowhawk photo at the bottom might look a mess, but it's action packed and it's about getting a photo at all!
I was lying on my bed when I heard a pigeon scream, jumped up , grabbed a camera expecting a cat or a Kestrel attack, and lo behold, it was a huge Female Sparrowhawk, endangered here but right in the middle of London anyway.

Yay someone else wants to play! I was beginning to think nobody else wanted to share anything. Great pictures, there is something about crows that just creep me out Well done for capturing the Sparrowhawk too, action shots are always hard to capture.
Thanks for posting

It's a great photo Cruiser, but actually of a Damsel fly ...closely related, but nearly always smaller ...the surefire way of telling is that a Dragonflies wings remain rigid at rest, a Damsel fly folds up like you see here.

Way cool Seawitch, a Damsel fly, eh?
I wondered if it was jut a baby dragon.......... I remember my grandmother always swimming in her lake, holding her finger up for dragonfly to land. You're right, the wings were always unfolded as I remember.
Thanks for that info. Seawitch!

Wow, you don't see many swans!? There are a ton here. You are so right you really can 'feel the moment', basking in the sunshine and just splashing about...oh to be a swan. Id very much like to see your other pics, they seem to not have worked.
Thanks for posting

I pm'd rev. for a little help. I guess I had my cursor in middle of a link and hit return....... so bumped the pic over. When I tried to repair....something went horribly wrong.
This picture belonged second in that post above.
I hope to come across the pic I made of a beautiful black swan, when visiting Arkansas.
You are so lucky to see them..... they are a touch of class.

Gonna be a party pooper here.. ..It's just that it reminds me of last year when newbs..whose office window overlooked a canal with lots of swans..was 'Ooing and Ahhing' at the swans there...
She was thinking 'How lovely..how graceful..how loving..how vicious..how vicious ?.. ..the male had suddenly pushed the females head underwater..and had 'his evil way'..
Sorry..couldn't resist..me bad.. ..they are beautiful creatures...

Momma, glad you liked those.
Sacred...... that blue water and those two swans........... my oh my! As Kira would say, 'that's a keeper'. Just beautiful.
I liked the red beak on the swan too.......... the best picture focussed on the tree branches and not the swan........ bummer. At least I'm able to share it w/you.
Thanks for yours, can't wait to see more of your pictures.

Something to remember the first win of many for the mighty spurs this season! I don't live near 'Boro (I dont think lol) or have tickets to the match sadly. Though that all depends on if me and my father decide we are going to buy match tickets in bulk packs or get them through the season on a whim.
Thank you very much for the kind words
Thanks

Ah well..not to worry..I just thought that if you were coming up for the match..it would have been a reminder of how football should be played !...
Anyways..I promise to eat my words..in the unlikely event that Spurs win.... ..Hell..Just to keep it on topic..I might even post a pic in your thread...

Money issues really, It is a long way to travel and we like to stick to home games due to the atmosphere and we just love going down to white hart lane. So we go to a few games a year, but we are hoping to go to some bigger games as opposed to games of us crushing the opposition How funny will it be when it ends 0-0 lol
*back on topic*
Go for it Momma!
