Well I just got my driving liscence yesterday for the first time!!!!YAY
Its just too bad that gas is now $1.54 a litre...aproximately $6.16 a gallon...aargh cant afford to drive....what really sucks is the states were all worried about $4.00 a gallon...HAHAHA enjoy....there is something really screwy when (dont get me wrong i LOVE my southern neighbors ) there is something really screwy when gas and oil leaves here ...goes down to the states we have to buy it back and the states pays far less for Canadian product than we can possibly purchase it for...I mean...isnt our dollar very close to par? its not just oil this happens with.
There was an expose done that showed CANADIAN tires purchased in walmart in the states cost 50 bucks and the same tires in walmart HERE cost 150 bucks
It used to drive me nuts when i worked in the orchards and I couldnt afford the apples that I PICKED at the fruit stand yet i could buy the apples that I PICKED from the states for a third of the price....what the heck...

I remember, back in the day , when gas was cheaper in Canada and we use to go across the border to get gas from you guys.

well if the gas came from here it resonably should be cheaper here I would think....
and to add to my rant....i went and got a case of nappies and a bag of toilet paper...it came out to *$41.00* ....i said to the lady " geeze its pretty crappy i cant afford to feed my children because we have to wipe our arses!! " 41 DOLLARS!!! to wipe our butts....jeez youd think we were wiping our butts with GOLD!
that coulf feed a third world family for a month or more!
I dont know what in the world i am going to do this winter... thank god i live in a pretty temperate climate....but what about the people in the NORTH...they wont be able to heat thier homes....

I buy wood carving supplies from Chipping Away and Lee Valley, both Canadian companies. I can buy their products considerably cheaper here in the states than Canadians can because of your high taxes on domestic sales according to Chipping Away.
