We've heard of wave power before, especially in the U.K. I remember a project like this back in about 1958! Let's see if we can get some positive results this time.

In New Zealand they are giving very serious thought to putting a generator system
under water in the Cook Strait between the North and South Islands as a trial.

That sounds like a good idea as long as it doesn't wreck the submarine environment.
