Hey Everyone, I stumbled upon this board while trying to explore a peculiar symbol and thought I would write a bit about it...I hope I dont sound too nutty.

Does anyone know what the hell this is? I can’t seem to get this symbol out of my head. I have seen it spray painted in really strange places in Seattle over the past year or so (banks, buildings, churches). The funny thing is, it’s always gone within a few weeks. All of the other graffiti in the city seems to stay up for months before it’s cleaned up, but this has seemingly popped up and disappeared sometimes within a few hours.

I described it to a friend who had seen it as well, and about two weeks later he emailed me this (a variation of it he did on photoshop from memory). He posted it on his myspace as a blog with a small blurb about it, basically asking our network of peers involved in unexplained phenomena if they had seen anything like it. The next day his myspace account, as well as our friends who contributed responses (myself and four others) were all deleted. They said we had contributed inappropriate material and consequently were in violation.

Now this is where is seems to get a bit stranger…I emailed a group of peers about it, which started a little banter back and forth, mostly because a few of them claim to have seen it in on Flower St. in downtown LA (my old hometown) and at the L train station on Minneapolis Street in Chicago (where my buddy moved with his wife). No one has gotten a good picture yet..I am asking anyone with pictures of this to please send them to me, mostly to prove to my skeptic buddies that I’m not seeing a national Fraternity logo (doesn’t seem like they would spray paint it on the side of banks and skyscrapers? Taggers generally don’t join Frats, and I’ve never seen a gang use a logo like this). It looks very enigmatic and resembles a more modern illuminati symbol (although I guess it could be a just a product, band or website promotion).

This is my conclusion so far:
There is definitely a E and a W in the symbol. So we looked up European Union symbols, the European Workers Force, and many others to no avail. W, the 23rd letter of the alphabet seems pretty apparent, as does the letter E, the 5th letter. 5 plus 23 = 28.
E corresponds to Epsilon in Greek, which happens to also mean “…1. n. A small quantity of anything. i.e. “The cost is epsilon.”.
W is a bit more tricky. According to Wikipedia, a letter resembling a lower case w, also referred to as ‘Omega’, translates to a few things: Year or date of death, The symbol of the Resistant Movement against the Vietnam-era draft, and of course, loosely means the ‘end’ of something. Other ideas are that it represents Digamma, as taken from Wikipedia “…The digamma survives even today as /v/ in the Modern Greek Tsakonian dialect, the only dialect not descended from ancient Koine Greek, the famous, and only, example being βάννε /'vannε/ "lamb" for standard Greek αρνί) (cf. Cretan Ϝαρήν).”
So, this may be a stretch, but could it mean “small group” or “elite group” (Epsilon) of (Omega) “death/ the end” or possibly “lamb”, as in “the lamb of god” (the alternate name for Jesus Christ, not the band – although we did look on the band’s website for the logo, ha!)
As mentioned earlier 5 + 23 is 28.
The number 5 is the most flexible of all numbers, a number of change.
Other ideas on 5 include:
Five is the symbol of human microcosm. The number of the human being. Human forms---the pentagon when arms and legs are out stretched. The pentagon is endless ---sharing the symbolism of perfection and power of the circle. Five is a circular number as it produces itself in its last digit when raised to its own power. The pentacle, like the circle symbolizes whole, the quincunx being the number of its center and the meeting point of heaven, earth, and the four cardinal points plus the center point.
The number 23 in symbolism is shown as two separate numbers joined "…the principle of organization (the number 3), acting on the differentiation of the world in spirit and matter (the number 20), to allow precisely the incarnation of the spirit in the matter, 2 + 3 = 5", according to R. Allendy.
A few more thoughts on 23:
• The 23 days of the "physical" cycle in the biorhythm.
• The ovule and the spermatozoon are composed both of 23 chromosomes.
• The words leprous, dragon and blasphemy are used 23 times in the Bible.

Hmmm…….
28 also happens to mean ‘leadership’ in Numerology, as well as being the Second perfect number because this number is equal to the sum of its aliquot parts. Other general answers include:
• Number of days that would have contemplated Buddha under the fig tree, according to Buddhists, corresponding to one lunar month.
• The 28 paradisiac or angelic levels which exist above the human state, according to the Brahmans.
• Inside the Great Pyramid, 28 miniature tombs are sculpted in the "wall of stone" of the Great Gallery.
Can anyone else make a connection? I will state my conclusion and offer a few hypotheses regarding the symbol (put on your tin foil hats in …3,2,1, NOW, lol)
1. This is some sort of viral marketing plan aimed at the conspiracy enthusiast. For what? I have no idea. Most of us are broke.
2. Taggers have become really involved in symbolism instead of letters?
3. There is finally a Fraternity that I REALLY want to join.
4. There is a group of illuminati enthusiasts who have organized a symbolic ‘calling card’ to try to attract the attention of people pursuing the truth, or possibly the so-called ‘illuminated ones’ themselves?
5. A bunch of crackpot Freemasons or people posing as the Elite working as a kind of double agent in order to deter serious inquiry into their leaders (or idols, whatever)
6. This is a small group hysteria due to me and my friends’ overactive imagination and experimenting with LSD 20 years ago.
I have many unanswered questions, including why all the obvious correlation to Symbols and Numerology? It was apparent to me the moment I saw the symbol up. Did anyone else notice? Why is it only temporarily up, and why as a physical ‘tag’ on buildings? Who is taking it down? I contacted the police department about it and was basically made to feel crazy, saying they see and take down anything that doesn’t belong on a wall, period. Have I finally crossed into the ‘nutball’ realm? SAY IT AIN’T SO!!!
In any case, someone knew exactly what they were putting up when they did this, and they were looking to get the attention of a certain group of people, almost like a calling card…or maybe it’s all a coincidence?
I’m left scratching my head…I will follow up with pics, please send any if you see it!

What leaped out at me is... if you invert it. Then it contains the illuminati symbol. The pyramid with the eye. Maybe this is some kind of anti-illuminati thing?

Inverted, taking the visible letters from most prominent to least prominent by size, it says "amie" (the upper crossbar of the E becomes also the crossbar of the capital A.

This has the feel of stealth marketing to me, rather like the "crop circles" in beach sand a few years back that were pre-release marketing ploys for a shoe logo.

Hey all,
my friend who recreated it in his computer swears he saw barcodes on it, i should have mentioned it.


I do remember the shoe brand marketing a few years back...thats about what this feels like, I keep expecting to see a website link put up as well, but so far nothing.

first let me say hello..i'm new....

secondly.... well that friend could be like me... someone who has a nack for remembering pictures. i have a photographic memory when it comes to faces and pictures but i cannot remember written text that well.


but the reason why i am posting now is because i have seen a similar sign here in the netherlands.

its almost like that logo but it is missing the barcode type thingy in the letter e, and also the point of the piramid with the eye is not in this sign... also the top is open! it does not have the little black bars there just the open w shape
but otherwise its the same.

that sign is on a house nearby. i noticed it first around 2 years ago... its a big white house with a big glass door and that sign was suddenly spray painted above the door. about a week later it was gone.

a few months later it was there again and stayed for about a day or nine i think.
then it was gone again

this went on for a long time....sometimes the house was like a ghosthouse for months and then you would see that sign again

the house belongs to a doctor i am told... strange thing about it is that the house was always empty! nobody lives there and you never see anybody there... the only time people are there is also when the sign is painted above the door.

i have not seen the sign for at least 6 months now( i drive through that street every single day because it is on my route to the city)

across that house is a school.... i always thought it might be a sign for drugdealers or sh*t like that and that is why i kept keeping an eye out for it.

i know that something is going on there... i mean isnt it strange that a big expensive house stays empty all the time... and then they paint some sign above the door and thats when you see lots of people going to that place.

again the sign thats been put up is almost like that one.
oh and before i forget... its always sprayed on in a really dark brownish paint

and because of the white walls of the house you can notice it really well.... even when its not that big.

its about 40 centimeters wide i guess.


i have been looking through the windows of the house for a couple of times and its completely empty for what i can see.
you can see a lot of the inside because of the glass door. also it has the same glass door on the ther side of the house(if you stand on one side of the house you can look through to the other side )
again the lower floor is completely empty..but i dont know about the upper floors.

its really weird.

also i know that the house has been there for at least 20 years(because i remember it from when i was a small boy.) it has always been white... i cant say if the sign was there back then because there were lots of bushes surrounding the house back then but the town removed the bushes to give people a better view of the streetcorner. now there is only grass there .


if someone wants the location /address of the house..to look it up on google earth then just pm me.

uh i dont know is that possible here? to pm me?

well...thats it... i just wanted to let you know about the sign.

as i said they are not the same but the sign that i have seen over and over again at that house is pretty much the same exept for those missing parts

I cant say that thats exactly how it looked, with the barcodes' placement and all, but he sent me a few different ideas of how it looked and this seemed to fit the bill. If I had a scanner I would send in some sketches I did of it, it seems pretty close to it. I havent seen any new post ups of it, but I am gonna keep looking!

i said that people could pm me if they wanted proof of where the building is located.
i also said it is not the same but it is pretty close.
i dont know if it has something to do with it or not i just mentioned it because this image looked a lot like the one i have seen.

i cant help having a photographic memory when it comes to faces and images. i rather like it because it helps me in my work as an illustrator and painter.

i never looked for it on the internet before. i am reading post on this forum for a longer time now but never had the need to sign up ... that is untill i found this post.
i wrote because i thought other people might know about it..what it is.

its all like i said. you can even see that the house has white walls. you can see the grassy field. the street from where i can see the sign when its up. also the school across the street(you can see the school... it has a round platform with a cross through it... it looks a bit like when you look through the sight of a rilescope)
the street that i use is between the school and the house.

i can even provide pictures i hope because i took pictures of the house a long time ago and i never throw pictures away. i must have them in my storage boxes where i keep the photo's that i made for my job. it might take a while to find them but they will show up. i will try to get them beore the end of next week.

in the mean time you can clearly see that i did not lie!

i put this up so that other people who are interested can see the exact location of the house.


to person1 i would like to say this: do not compare someone else with yourself... you might lie all you want but that does not mean that other people are like you.

now i am willing to put this to rest but person1 you should act a little nicer to other people. just treat people the way you like to be treated. you know you could have asked me for info about it in a normal way.

no i know you cant see the sign. thats because its on the side wall above the door(well not at the moment but when the sign is up)
i only gave the coordinates so people can see where the place is located.

you can see that i was telling things exactly the way it is. i did not lie about anything.


also to person1... if you do an image search on google and when you type strange symbol you will see on page 12 at the bottom the avatar of naturalmystik

now if you consider the fact that the strange view symbol looks a bit like a pyramid thats upside down... then a person who is looking for it would probably click it just to take a look at it. and well then that person ends up on this page where the symbol is.

see that it is not magic to find this if you do a google search?

i didnt find it that way. i found this forum first and when i went through the topics i found the titel strange symbol.... so i just looked and thats when i found the symbol.


i know you are on a conspiracy/paranormal forum and you have been here a while considering the amount of posts that you have ...so you will probably think that behind every post there is a person who is not telling the truth... just like in this case you just assumed i was not honest .... well i was honest about everything.

This is all pretty cool.
One thing I noticed, though I'm not exactly sure what it looks like, is that at the bottom of the w/v there's a pentagram sorta thing.
The way the pentagram looks is kind of similar to a Company/Brand/Idk what it is called Obey (Obey Giant) (=Worldwide Propaganda Delivery). If you want more info on Obey, just google it.
Idk if what I see is correct, but it just wrang a bell.

I'll also add that the pentagram is not a main symbol of Obey. It's just on an Obey shirt I own and have seen it in a few of their pictures/logos.
