So I got to wondering... forums are incredibly international, and throughout my time online I've "met" people from all across the world, and perhaps even from out of this world, which I guess would make them truly inter-planetary. So where is everyone from, and where are you now? Where do you plan on being or which land is calling you?
I'm from the desert, southwest US, a beautiful and magical place whose beauty and splendour I've only come to realise in recent years. Even as a shifty teen, wanting desperately out, I still felt deep down that the desert is my home. I move about a lot now, having lived in Finland for a while, and that's where I am now, though it's back to the desert pretty soon. During my travels it's become clear that everywhere is sacred and magical, that there truly is no promised land, just some people see the magic, others don't. Some have found their home, others are still looking. But I believe that the land you're born in plays a big part in your life, that every being establishes some sort of connection with the soil, and while these connections can be established later on, it's a bit more difficult than getting resettled and finding new friends, naturally.
Would be interesting if there are some people from very exotic places, such as Greenland, or New Zealand, India?

And here I though you came from Eugene, Oregon. That's what I get for thinkin'. I'm from there too! I'm from alot of places.
Started out in Germany...Frankfurt. Lived in Stuttgart, Badnauhiem (?sp) visit and stayed in France alot. Then lived in Singapore and W Africa each over 3 years. (all that time visiting other places) Lived in many states...Wash. Ore. Ca. Tx. Az. La. and now am stuck in the appropriately named sin city.
Sonora has been calling me for a few years now, I hope to...something...that I get there in this lifetime.
I'm from planet earth.....this round.

Heh no eugene is more a reference to a song, but I did think of going there for school once. Oregon would be a great place to live, but Finland has proven that perhaps the dryness of the desert is best for me.
West Africa. Someday, heh, something in this lifetime will hopefully get me there. Three years is such a long time to spend in any locale vastly different from one's own, it would definately make anyone an instant world citizen, even though it takes much longer than an instant.
minifang, what keeps you in ny if before saying that you have to add "unfortunately"? Seems there are a lot of people nowadays though living in places they don't want to be.

I was born and raised in Texas then spent ten years in the U. S. Navy seeing the world through a porthole and have lived in Massachusetts since with the exception of 13 months that the company I worked for sent me to Glasgow, Scotland.

I was born and raised in Hawaii - on the island of Oahu.
I have been living in Southeast Alaska (Ketchikan, which is also on an island) since 1985.
I am currently living/working aboard a tugboat as a deck hand, we tow barges within S.E AK. and down to Seattle.

I was born in Ft. Worth, Texas. I lived in Florida, Texas, Michigan, the Netherlands, New Mexico, Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, and now live in on the Washington coast. I have visited most of the United States, British Columbia, Alberta, and Ontario Canada, France, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Denmark, and Mexico. The town I live in now hosted a UFO convention in 2005. It rains a lot here, I want to move as I really miss the sun!!!!
