Hope this is ok to start. ,.. thought it would be fun.. and insightful. .. maybe even informative...
Its a bit like asking what item(s) would you save from a fire....
WHAT WOULD YOU GRAB ON YOUR WAY OUTTA THE DOOR .. (ON THE RUN FROM TPTB).... AS YOU RAN TO MEET OTHER BOT MEMBERS ?
I will start it off ....
On the run from TPTB I would take.....
1. water purification tablets...

My Rampant Rabbit
Seriously though a big knife!! In an emergency, that big knife is going to come in handy for all kinds of things, from skinning trapped animals, cutting off fish heads, making shelter, and getting sap and resin from trees, along with bark. A knife like a "bowie knife", strong, and where the steel continues all the way thru the handle, folding knives don't work well, .......treat your knife like a baby........care for it.......don't throw it to stick it in ground or tree....keep it sharp!! and protected in a sheath

Given that I figure I can't run that fast and they'll catch me then I'd have to say a big batch of my Decadently rich Chocolate biscuits, TPTB would find themselves helpless to resist them.
Yet if I was to seriously consider it I'd say my first aid kit. It aint light nor small but it's critically important.

complete camping set-up - sleeping bags, other camp related gear etc.
(5 gal)propane bottles & campstove and/or a small bbq grill.
cast iron cookware set i have
compound bow w/ bear arrows, cause ya never know what you might run into

have a place in mind ahead of time, so no maps needed

Yeh it would depend on time , and transport and situation of course.
It would also depend on how long you were intending to stay in the new situation.
The thing that scares me the most in that type of scenario , is other people... unpredictable.
I think I would have to squeeze in some chocolate though... and meds if poss.

Buy a backpack and stock it up. If you can't fit it in the pack, it's excess. Two shoulder straps and you're ready to boogie

Now that struck me as funny. I can just see Juno stuffing a cat in a backpack. Poor kitty!

Heck Bubba, she'd prolly curl up on the ruck-sack & my shoulder & go to sleep!
mini, I have two of those also, but they'd probably be kicked out of the group as they eat 3x their weight each day...
