Welcome Aboard, theodolite Love the cat sketch, especially the detail between the right & left eyes- did you do it?
He was a beautiful cat! If I can ever be of assistance, let me know,ok?
Blessings, NightLighter

Welcome Theo. Love the cat picture. To repeat NL, did you do it? If so, you need to post more pictures. Take a look at Creative Corner. We have some outstanding artists' works displayed there. Feel free to set up a thread of your own there.

Yup, that's a portrait of my Harley, so named for his purr, sounds just like a flat head Harley, but once in a while he gets called knuckle head. He was 6 months old when the photo was taken, which would have been in '96, but the sketch was done in '97. Plain ol' graphite #2 lead on typing paper.
Had a bummer of a day. Was really hoping for a particular job, there were so many plusses to it it was rediculous. But, I got the snail mail formal letter from an employer that had been normally calling for just about any question they had. (Cluck cluck cluck buKAAAAAWK!)
Sux gettin' old. Age descrimination may be illegal, but that just makes the employers more sneaky about it.

It's a particular time of year when I keep looking in hopes of finding out what happened... well... beyond the dry news and speculations surrounding same. Maybe some clue about the "why?" Ah well... 21 years and a couple weeks after the fact, I'll never find that out, but I suppose it's the function of a haunting.

GAH! Is there anyway to turn that blasted dictionery off?

Greetings, theodolite. Welcome to BoT! We're glad you found us. I agree with the others, your artwork is very nice.
HTML doesn't work on the forums, they use BBCode. Similar, but not quite the same....!
By dictionary, do you mean the spellcheck while you're posting, or the double-click for a definition in an existing post?

The double click thingy. While I was writing, I didn't like a word or something I'd double click to high light the word, and then start typing to replace the word...
... only there was this pop-up thing when I looked back at the screen.
O.k. Soooo, I wasn't such a good student in my 8th grade typing class, either...

Ah, no, no way to turn that off for a specific user, sorry.

I love the horse drawing...and your ramblings it does suck to get old and if it's illegal to discriminate age, no one got that memo!
Welcome theodolite you'll get used to the dictionary, it's a great help sometimes. other times it isn't. but it's nice to have.
Enjoy the site.

Welcome theodolite!
It seems that a creative mind and the unknown..always seem to fall hand in hand. May be a coincidence, but I think not.
You do nice work!
I look forward to your posts!

Chronic insomniac.
Have been since I was a little bitty kid.
I'm reaching the end of the insomnia period.
Think I'll trundle upstairs and wait for my husband to wake up.
