Quite an emotive one here, but hey, were all human..................or are we.
I've just watched 'Born free again' posted by Lonecat, and as I said in that post, it did bring a tear to my eye.
So when was the last time something made you tearful. Sad, happy or just pure emotion. I do believe women are more emotional than men, and that is something I admire. There have been many times in my life that I have just wanted to burst out crying. Yet some inbuilt strength has held me back, and its not always been a good thing.
So when was the last time you cried, wanted to cry, should have cried or cried alone. We all have these times in our life.............its nothing to be ashamed of.

You must have known Cats..
The last time I cried was about an hour ago..when a line in the song that I was listening to was..'No time to say goodbye'..
But...10 mins. later..'Mack the knife' was played..and I danced along with it..as I cleaned the living room...
I think music has great power in stirring the emotions..for me anyway..

I do believe Momma is right. I love a good song. Music can lift the spirits, make you cry, make you think, or simply take you back to a place with fond memories.
I do not cry. Even at funerals. Because I strongly believe in an afterlife where all is good. But I suspect that I would cry and cry unconsolably if one of my children or wife passed away.
Bubba is getting way too mushy!!!

Like the turbin, Bubba.
Btw, I have no choice but to have that belief also, but I still cry when someone "dies", must be the girl in me.
I cried yesterday at the "I am, you are, we are Australian" song about our multi-culturalism here (just a tear mind you, as I've heard it many times)...I love that song!!

As an addition to my post above, there are a good few men I know who cannot cry, or do not do so often.
They all turn to me and tell me they envy my ability to cry. Know this people:
Crying is a natural act for either gender, and a great release for emotional pressures!
Those who cannot, or do not cry easily, do not because it has been driven into them that it is soft/weak to cry. It is NOT WEAKNESS to show your emotions! If we don't show them, how do others know what, or how we're feeling, unless we otherwise put it into words?
I feel it is a strength for a man to cry, and a weakness to have to hold it in because you might appear to be a sissy.
I say this: SHOW YOUR FEELINGS AT ALL TIMES. IT'S NORMAL, IT'S NATURAL, AND IT'S BENEFICIAL!

Me.??.. I dont cry when I think I should .... I am ok ,
until someone asks me if I am ok , and then I am NOT
Its a bit like falling off the bike, and if no one sees you spill,
then you get back up and get back on the bike ,
but if the old dear over the road sees you and comes over
and asks if you are okay and says " do you want your Mom"
then the tears are rolling most against your will
Other peoples pain hurts me so much
I cannot tell you... I cry buckets alone..!
Sometimes a line in a song
sometimes a chat on the phone
sometimes a smile from a child
and another precious line to store
Sometimes just having photos around
Can make the tears pour
But for every tear I cry , I see somemore of life pass by
And tell myself to keep being strong
It soon will not sting so long
For I have to make the most of life tears or not
After all its not the salty tears I keep from others
its just all the bloomin Snot !

I'm not quite sure how you mean that Minifang, but if you try showing anything other than your feelings in public... Ooops! I see a prison cell looming.
Feelings or emotions... They're what make me cry. I have been in jobs most of my life, where I have been physically hurt, or damaged nearly every day. Motor mechanic by trade. Can be very damaging to the hands, arms, legs, back, all kinds of places suffer in that trade. But I don't cry because of physical hurt. It's the emotional, feeling, hurt that is my point.

I have been crying a whole lot again since Saturday. Me and a certain "someone" have parted company again. Supposedly for the last time again. So for the last few days, tears have been my almost constant companion.
Oh, Wrinkly, I am SO sorry to hear that!! Love & support to you BOTH.
I get ya Minifang. I think that is one of the reasons I don't go out much.
The other week we were at a friends funeral. (The "we" being myself and my ex-husband Rob, but we are together again though living in different towns.) Anyway, everyone was crying and afterwards Rob said he held it back because he had to keep strong for the women!! How wierd is that? I have only seen him cry twice in 13 years.
