A hand-held sewing machine. A Taser. I personally do not think it's a toaster, but obviously there are some silly peeps on board today.
Hi Nebs...
Possibly, it's nothing more than a rather odd shaped torch. (Torch... In English! Flashlight... NOT in English! Hahahaha!)
Does it have adjustable settings, in any way?

No, although it has to do with the strings, it doesn't actually touch them...

Congratulations, Nebula - that's exactly what it is - when held over the strings, it opposes the magnetic pull of the pickup, causing the string(s) to vibrate- creating a violin or horn type effect...Very Good, Your turn...

No, Bubba, it's not a toaster. Good guess, though.
It's not marshmallows, NightLighter, nor is it the Pillsbury Doughboy's privates -- or anyone else's either, for that matter!

Excellent guess, Momma, but, no, this particular pic is not related to snails.
NightLighter, you've hit the nail on the head! It's shaving cream oozing from a busted nozzle!
I watched in fascination as Mr Neb's can of shaving cream emptied itself, oozing in slow motion over the course of several hours one day. Since there was no way to stop it, I took a couple of pics, cropping and then rotating the one posted in this thread.
Well done, NightLighter! Over to you now.
