Howdy. We haven't met yet...
You must be fabulous, your husband sure is. I've been meaning to set aside some time to read your "Life with Bubba" thread, (and others  ).
Take care, hope everything goes well.
Then come back so we can all enjoy your company.
:D

Good morning! :D

Ya'll are so thoughtful. I really appreciate all the kind words.
I am really looking forward to the procedure this time.
Bubba is so helpful and caring, he pampers me and I like that. ;)
Glad he is the one to fry the turkey for Thanksgiving dinner.
I will supervise the whole thing of course.
Thanks again.

Sending you good wishes for a successful procedure! :) I had knee surgery in 1995 and it made all the difference in the world, not a bit of trouble since then. The interim discomfort during convalescence was worth it in the long run for me, and I hope it works out as well for you too! :hugz:

Bubba is always good. Some days I'm gooder than other days. Today I have been real good. Mrs. Bubba had her procedure and is doing well. In a bit of pain, having to stay off her feet most of the day. I fixed lunch and dinner for her. Lunch was oysters and french fries. Dinner was a special potato au gratin casserole Dawn fixed for us, but I put it on a plate and warmed it in the microwave. I fixed an ice pack for her knee. Told you I was good.

But seriously she and her pain pills are getting along just fine. We thank y'all for the good vibes. Y'all are good too!

Bubba, please tell Mrs. Bubba that I informed the Boston marathon that she may not be able to compete next year; it may take two years to recover and resume training.

I will tell her Poppy. At the moment she is somewhat depressed because I will not let her wash my motorcycle and pickup, rake the pine straw off the roof, transplant a 50' pecan tree she has been wanting to relocate or go to Wal Mart Christmas shopping. I told her maybe tomorrow. But only if she can do all that from a walker. The wheelchair is real hard for me to push around the yard.

Mrs. Bubba is doing much better today. I carried her to Wal Mart for what she refers to as therapy. Got her one of them electric shopping cart to ride around in. Y'know them things are neat. But they need signal lights. Just to let us pedestrians walking the aisles know the driver's intentions.

I saw a three cart pile up right there in the video section. Luckily no one was injured although one old fat woman was complaining of whiplash. I think she caused the wreck 'cause she was talking on her cell phone at the time.

As we were putting our purchases in the trunk, I noticed a woman pushing her shopping cart toward us. As she came by, I noticed she had a mustache. Now it was not a little bit of hair on her upper lip, but a mustache any 17 year old teen age boy would have been proud of. Scared me!

Any way, Mrs. Bubba fell in love with that electric cart. She said that's what she wanted for Christmas. She said it had to be a Wal Mart model complete with smiley face and a sign that said "Children Not Allowed To Ride In Basket."

Mrs Bubba is doing very well. It has been two days since her procedure on her left knee. It is a bit sore but if all goes as it did after the first one, she will be free of all discomfort by Monday.

I hope so 'cause she needs to fix her famous turkey and dressing which only she can do. When she is working on it she makes us stay at least 50' away from the kitchen so as not to disturb her concentration. And we do 'cause her turkey and dressing is GOOD. A repast that Emeril Lagasse would cry for. In fact inmates on death row have requested it as their last meal.

Also she needs to wash her car.

I'll put on a pot of my "Sage Turkey Soup" for ya all. It's been known to mend a few things and if you let it sit a few days it's as good as glue.

Can you teach a turkey to wash your car? :D Best wishes Mrs.BE III.

Daddio.

Hey, Bubba, I have an  . You could look on the WallyWorld website to see if they sell any of those carts as surplus, like the military does. You could probably pick one up really cheap. :P ;)

I hope MrsEarl is feeling better. Please let her know that she's been in my thoughts for a swift and permanent recovery. :X

Again, we both thank y'all for the very kind thoughts.

Mrs. Bubba would thank you herself but she is outside raking the yard and rotating the tires on her car. Can't keep a good woman down. She was having a bad case of cabin fever.

We are going out in a few minutes to attend a Christmas program at the civic center. Our grandson is in it. So it is mandatory that we be there. 'Sides Mrs Bubba wants her picture made with Santa Claus.

You know Bubba is crazy in his own way, but I married him anyway.
He keeps us going around here. I never know sometimes if he is yanking
my chain or not. So, welcome to Bubba's world, stranger than bizzaro world.
I am going back and catch up on all the things he has said about me the last
few days.
;)

It is Thanksgiving and Mrs. Bubba is doing extremely well. No pain at all. No soreness. In fact she is in the kitchen right now preparing her famous dressing. I insist that she take a break quite often to just sit and rest a bit.

I just put the turkey in the fryer.

Boy, I'll tell y'all what. That kitchen is smelling good. I'm sitting here just slobbering. I may have to make Mrs. Bubba take another break so I can sneak in there and taste test the goodies.
