I think I saw that one lol, but the whole show is premised on an alien coming and hiding with this little girl. Cassie loves it. They do do alot about aliens and space for kids, very interesting I think.
But her FAVORITE is Nightmare Before Christmas. I think we're going on close to 100 times of watching it. The Pumpkin King and Sally rule!
Thank god she takes after me. If she was into Brats or Barbies, I'd have to say get someone else to babysit.

Hi Cruiser,
Hello Kira,
I have seen Lilo and Stitch, my nephews has been bugging me at times to get them DVD of those...and for minding them tools
I did find it odd on how the plots and content that they have are very incline into the under hidden messages with alien life form and the conspiracy of abductions and experimentations it seems to have parallel views.
For example
One episode where Pleakley (one of the charcater) is first to catch and gets infected by 222. Lilo and Stitch have to venture inside Pleakley’s body to capture the experiment. Experiment 222 escapes and Gantu catches the experiment, but Lilo believes that Poxy's true place is inside Gantu’s body. They use some device desinged to turn technology against the user, he goes into the machines and make them malfunction.
Halloween episode
Spooky reveals Stitch's fear of water, which he uses against Stitch. Eventually Lilo and Stitch are able to conquer their fears and capture Experiment 300, a reptile like experiment designed to make T-rexes. Memory 303 experiment is a small, blue insect-like creature with large eyes. His special power is erasing people's memory. He can also fly. Amnesio gives amnesia to Gantu, Lilo, Stitch, Pleakley and Jumba.
I found these episodes a 'WTF'; anyways pretty weird concept of plot lines especially for small kids...hmmm but those two are the only one I saw and was explained to me by the nephews.
cheers

Kira, I'm sure you make the best babysitter! She's lucky to have a groovy Granny like you! You're pretty awesome.
Hey, AussiET,
Hubby just mentioned The Great Gazoo, from Fred Flinstone.

It's a new generation.

Hi Dalia
I don't watch the toons so had to look up the Dragonball Z show. I see what you mean.
Curious to know what these writers know or who's pushing the subject material and why. To desensitize the little kids?
Isn't it curious about these childrens shows and their use of the alien agenda/topic?
So, we watch to see just how much and how often the alien agenda/subject/etc. is used, as though someone needs us to get aware in a hurry.
I know that if I hadn't seen what I saw........ that I'd be questioning the amount of alien entertainment going on. So for me it's just interesting, as though someone knows what I saw is real..... and not just in the minds of a few.
If I never saw 'alien' anywhere but in my back yard....... I'd just figure it was once in a lifetime....... but something seems to be imminent maybe in the years ahead.
Anyone brings an injured owl in to the kitchen, I know is a great mom! Great job (in what did you see today thread).

That is so awesome Dalia!!!! (I had to go check out that thread, just can't get everywhere I want to go.) So glad the owl turned out ok. Nice pumpkin too.
Thanks cruiser I do have to keep up on the cartoons and DO notice how much they show the little ones about aliens and space. It does make one wonder. They also throw in the NWO crap which makes me very mad! All I can hope is that I'm around to explain it to her when the time comes. If we even get to that time....
I had to take Cassie out to see the moon, venus and jupiter, her eyes just bugged out WHAT"S THAT!? she loves looking at the stars and moon. Can't understand why the moon isn't there all the time. She'll point to a street light and say moon! I have to say, no, no moon tonight. She'll scrunch her eye browse as if to say, why not? I can't tell her cause I don't know!

I guess.. my way of thinking is...whats next?...Surely there would be shows on right now that would continue with the heavy influences of ET? I mean for the ages as they get older.
IMO it's just to help keep the whole aura of UFO and ET...as a thing that is what we see on TV..and nothing more then made up...fake....funny...

Its amazing how things have changed in a few short years. While most of us like myself grew up on ghost busters and ninja turtles, my kids are watching ben 10, a show about a boy with a magical watch he got from a comet or something, its seems like a majority of childrens shows have this type of theme. I also noticed the content of some of these shows seems alittle advanced for thier target audiance.Im not the smartest man in the world but I shouldnt have to google a word I heard on cartoon network just to follow the story.

Hi, Dalia.
Dalia wrote: My boys love Dragonball Z and that is all about space aliens!!!
OMG!!!! I still love this anime from when I was younger. I would get up at every morning for school and watch it. And Digimon too. Anyway, if you look up the name of Kami, the Namakian who lives on that tall tower, his name loosely means god. Most Japanese cartoons sometimes poke fun at Christianity or has a alternate twist on the religion.
Just putting that out there.

Dragonball Z character here,
Goku Super Saiyan 3 is my avitar, and one of my favorite superhuman cartoon images. He flys, Teleports, is super strong, radiates energy, and can power blast out his hands.
Lilo and stitch is a cool cartoon, kinda like ET meets Hawaii. Teaches kids not to be too afraid of ET encounters.
Heres my avitar cartoon, favorite video story on youtube

Hi- thanks for posting, everyone. My kids are more familiar w/these shows than I am, but you're right..... more and more the theme in childrens entertainment involves the paranormal, ET, etc.
Hubby and I are sharing a flu virus this week so last night we pulled up to the TV w/our tissue boxes.... and watched The Last Mimzy, and Close Encounters of the Third Kind by Steven Speilberg. Each time I see that one, (and it was made in 1977) I just shake my head. After all, Devils Tower is just a few hours North.... and I had my very own encounter of the 3rd kind.
I had a sense that sci-fi would become more popular than ever before and it seems to be the case. My concern has always been (since encounter) that others be aware so it's not so shocking. So my take is not a negative one that it's being incorporated into entertainment for our children, it's more of wishing we the general population learn the truth, whatever it is.
Maybe through cartoons, it's the easiest non threatening way to teach the rest of us what that truth might be?
