As I just turned to Brian Vike's wonderful site....I was shocked and sadden by what appears...

"Approximatley in one month's time this website will be closed!"

I am very saddened by this..and...hope that there may be some turnaround before the month is up.

For those who do not know of Brian Vike's site...It is filled with UFO reports, pictures, and videos from around the planet.

Brian is the top gatherer of UFO reports from Canada...but received many from around the globe.

Brian...not being a greedy man...and have failing health as of late...has found the burden of the site too much.

For any that have been there...I suggest you go back and save your favorite reports while you still have easy access to them.

For any who have never been....I suggest you do check it out...you will be amazed at what people have seen in the sky..and shared...

It is indeed a sad month for those in search of the truth...

I hate to see them go away like that. Maybe someone will buy his domain and continue his work.

I hope someone can too Dalia, but no one will be like Brian. His was one of a kind. There are other places to report, but none have the heart and soul like Brian.

Brian is one of the kindest people I have met. He is not in it for money...or fame..he is in it for the truth. You know that Kira..so does Thelmadonna..as you both have shared with him.

I too have shared my encounters to him and had some good talks over them. He is certainly aware...

I haven't yet attempted to contact him since his latest posting on his site.
I have some questions in regard to future sightings...and what he has planned...

I certainly would hate to see it all just end....that is not right after all the years of hard work and dedication Brian has put into all of it...thousands of sightings...and pictures, videos...and audio interviews that he has put out to the world.

I feel that I should at least see...if there is anything at all I/we can do to help him.
I feel like I owe him...for just being there to share with and to talk to and to have him believe me...before I found BoT.

Wish I knew how too. I know nothing about domains, owning sites, let alone having the $$$ to do it. Having connections would be nice, but haven't got them either.

If you can think of something let us know. I know most of us are in the same boat. I can imagine how he feels losing all that info if no one can continue it. Devastating.

Sad news indeed about HBCCUFO's impending closure.

Hopefully somebody as energetic as Brian Vike, will take over his duties and keep the excellent site running, as i have enjoyed reading all the sightings over the years, as well as doing a lot of research in the site's archive.

I echo all what has been said about Brian, his commitment his friendliness everything, an example to all. It and he will be sorely missed.

Just an update...it is official..Brian Vike of HBCCUFO is OUT of the UFO investigating field for good as of the 19th of June.

In his second last newsletter..that I am sure some of you have seen...Brian said..


"I have had a wonder time since mid 2000 meeting, talking on the telephone and writing to the thousands of eyewitnesses who were kind enough to share their experiences with me. Along this journey, I have made long lasting friends, not only with the witnesses, but so many in the media who were kind enough to have me on their radio programs and the countless newspapers who lent a hand in getting the stories out in hopes of finding more folks to a incident, or who directed their readers to my site.

I am leaving the UFO field for good, it is time for me to get back to all the things I enjoyed before getting involved with UFOs. Many people do not realize..but for many who have had sightings or encounters..Brian was the first person that they could talk to about the experiences ..with out fear of ridicule...and that..to me..and to many...means the world..

I left an open invitation for Brian to come by here at BoT..if he ever has the urge to share thoughts...or wants to talk about any UFO/ET related stories. he would certainly have to billing. (I think)

Anyway...just wanted to let you all know...It is a sad month..for many who know Brian and for those..who got to check out his site..

It is sad for the movement, but I don't blame him at all, especially with his health. He's done all he can do as it's such a huge topic that we may never find an answer to.

I hope he takes up your offer.

Very nice guy. I'd host it for free for him. But I have no web skills in updating the site. I'd renew it yearly too.

I offered to do that for Brian a while back when he was going to close then. At least the information is safe and has gone to a good source.

Fully understand his decision though, it can be a very time consuming thing running a site, especially a sightings based one, with so many people reporting them.

I wish him well for his future, and I'm sure it won't be the last we hear from him

Yep..He had many offers of assistance..

I just received an email from him...and I now see why ...as it is all very personal issues with him and family...I can see how there is little time for any when consumed by such a wide swath of information coming in from all parts of the globe on a constant basis.

I don't know if he will take up the offer of dropping by here..but..I will stay in touch with him regardless...I KNOW..Brian has acquired a LOT of information...and..could be very beneficial to the ones who search to put it all together.

Anyway...He said he will keep his blog active..with what is on there now for sightings..and perhaps one day ...he will start to add...some of the tens of thousands of other reports that he has been sent in the past...but..there will be no more new ones...

Thanks for the update bud, and keep in touch with him. My offer still stands of sorting out anything technical in terms of keeping records for research etc. I've a sighting system already written which could be used to keep them etc.

Fully understand the problems he's had in terms of time and balancing with other commitments.

I will certainly stay in touch with Brian, Boss. He is a really great guy that has helped out many..so..I am happy that we will be in contact..

That sighting system sounds VERY cool...

It would be really great if we could put it to use.
