Today, I saw my new little puppy still hanging around. He showed up earlier this week, skinny and with some minor cuts on his belly and a scabbed over spot on his ear. I figured someone didn't want him and dumped him out on my road. We got the new collar for him yesterday.

Awe what a shame, he looks very wary, poor wee thing. If he was deliberately dumped, they couldn't have picked a better place to do it. Do you have a name for him yet? So gorgeous.

No name yet, but I'm working on it. I don't mind taking in a stray if he'll make a good dog. One of my others was a stray and just showed up one day out of the blue.
But yeah, I think someone dumped this one. All was quiet that morning when I was outside. Then around lunchtime, I heard my dogs barking in the woods by the road. Recognizing the tone of bark, I went out prepared to deal with a snake or sick wild animal. When I got there, it was this little puppy.
They all get along good now though. Luckily, the other dogs have since learned not to bother him and the puppy has learned that the cats are boss.

A handsome little feller. You could start a contest called "Name Rev's Dog". The winner could win an autgraphed picture of him.

One of my dogs found me. She was a stray dog and she "invaded" our house while it was still a construction site and never left. One of the guys working here took to the other side of the city and she still made it back!

A belated welcome, eueueu. You're story reminds me of a friend's. Most of his dogs have been strays that he's come across. The latest addition was when he went to get into his truck at a convenient store and a big pit bull puppy (probably only about 10 or 11 months old) with rope burns around his neck jumped in the cab. He didn't think twice about carrying him home. After a bath and a visit to the vet, he turned out to be one of the best dogs anyone could have.
Now, to get the tread back on track a little...
Today while hiking through the woods, I saw what I think is a small Caddo burial mound. They're all over the place out here, but this one I hadn't seen before.

On a trip to Louisiana today, I saw a small beauty salon on the side of the road in a small town. The name of it was "Curl Up & Dye".

Today I saw the back of the electrician who has just rewired my flat. (Apartment for the un-English! Lol..)
It's taken four days, and a heck of a lot of swearing and cursing, and sweating by him, to get the job done. It's also taken my ONLY weeks' summer holiday to do it, and I've not been able to do anything more than sit in front of the PC, TV, and read a book.
I'm not complaining about him, he was a decent chap, and I think he's done a very good job, considering the cr*p way these places were built. (Slung together!) He had all manner of troubles with it, but it's done and finished, and now I can begin, (for the fourth night in succession) to clean up and put back all the stuff I've had to move for the work to take place.

Today I saw this wonderful Sunflower. One of three, and the lowest to the ground, I managed to get this pic. when the wind stopped blowing it around briefly.
Oh... and yes... That is a small spider on the right hand side of it. I just can't stop getting bugs in things.

For a long while now, I've been meaning to take a pic of this building. It's been unused for ages, and people have got in and been busy with the aerosols. I tried adding these pics as Resized Clickable Pics, but it wouldn't let me, Click thumbnails to see full size.
And this one I saw on the wall of a shop in Aldershot, Hampshire. Aldershot is "The Home Of The British Army". Best Wishes to ALL our UK armed forces, wherever they be serving!
