It seems that it is another lost book. Perhaps Zecharia Sitchin has written about it in one of his books, but I don't remember reading that. I've read most of Sitchin's books. Try here: http://www.mazzaroth.com

I took on the google monster and all I could turn up was Cain was Enochs' father. Try searching the Torah Borgia, although in the Torah Enoch is not called Enoch but a very close version of Yahweh if that's any help.

Thanks for the advice everyone. Here's the site were I found the reference to the Lamentations of Jared.
http://www.geocities.com/nephilimnot/enoch.html
I have just emailed the owner of the site asking what he may know about this book.
I have read all of Sitchin, as well as the Other Bible by Willis Barnstone without ever finding any reference to this work of Jared's.
Has anyone ever read "The Fallen Angels & the Origin of Evil by Eliz. Clare Prophet? I dont know about her religious beliefs, but thought maybe the book would be worth reading. Any advice appreciated.

I'm in the process of checking out the 2 Bookcases here at BoT. It's under the Resources link at the top of the Main Menu to your left below the Visitor Map as Bookcase I & Bookcase II. It does look promising.

Enoch was transformed into Metatron. That might help.
Out of the love He bore Enoch, God arrayed him in a magnificent garment, to which every kind of luminary in existence was attached, and a crown gleaming with forty-nine jewels, the splendor of which pierced to all parts of the seven heavens and to the four corners of the earth. In the presence of the heavenly family, He set this crown upon the head of Enoch, and called him "the little Lord." It bears also the letters by means of which heaven and earth were created, and seas and rivers, mountains and valleys, planets and constellations, lightning and thunder, snow and hail, storm and whirlwind--these and also all things needed in the world, and the mysteries of creation. Even the princes of the heavens, when they see Metatron, tremble before him, and prostrate themselves; his magnificence and majesty, the splendor and beauty radiating from him overwhelm them, even the wicked Samael, the greatest of them, even Gabriel the angel of the fire, Bardiel the angel of the hail, Ruhiel the angel of the wind, Barkiel the angel of the lightning, Za'miel the angel of the hurricane, Zakkiel the angel of the storm, Sui'el the angel of the earthquake, Za'fiel the angel of the showers, Ra'miel the angel of the thunder, Ra'shiel the angel of the whirlwind, Shalgiel the angel of the snow, Matriel the angel of the rain, Shamshiel the angel of the day, Leliel the angel of the night, Galgliel the angel of the solar system, Ofaniel the angel of the wheel of the moon, Kokabiel the angel of the stars, and Rahtiel the angel of the constellations.
When Enoch was transformed into Metatron, his body was turned into celestial fire--his flesh became flame, his veins fire, his bones glimmering coals, the light of his eyes heavenly brightness, his eyeballs torches of fire, his hair a flaring blaze, all his limbs and organs burning sparks, and his frame a consuming fire. To right of him sparkled flames of fire, to left of him burnt torches of fire, and on all sides he was engirdled by storm and whirlwind, hurricane and thundering.
The book I was referring to in my last post is referenced in the link you provided Dictionary of Angels... in the section "Enoch & the Watchers" so it might be helpful after all. I'm getting the hard drive from my old PC sent up next week & am getting a couple of my favorite books sent as well. Eventually I'm hoping to have my whole collection together with me again but it'll be a bit tricky, & expensive. I also have tons of stuff on my hard drive as the last 2 years I used it, the disk drive didn't work so I had to keep everything on the PC. Anyway, I'll still see if I can dig up anything in the meantime. Right on.

I believe the text that you are refering to (although you have alredy found it) will be found amongst other text included in the apochraphyl books of the bible. There are many of these books that give a broad explaination and understanding to the full scope of the the bible stories and the expounded information that alludes back to the Annunaki creation stories. In particular you will find the correlation of the multiple names that many of these figures had which all go back to the Sumerian creation story. if there names are in the bible they were from the creator species the Nephilim-Annunaki. That is why they were left out of the bible they would expose the truth and divert power from the church.
From wikipedia
Jared or Jered (Hebrew: ירד, descent or to descend) in Judeo-Christian religious belief was a fifth-generation descendant of the first human beings, Adam and Eve.
His father Mahalalel, great-grandson of Seth son of Adam, was stated to be 65 years of age when Jared was born. In the apocryphal Book of Jubilees, his mother's name is Dinah.
Jubilees adds that Jared married Beraka, and the Bible speaks of Jared having become father to many sons and daughters. Of those children, only Enoch is named specifically, born when Jared was 162 years old (Genesis 5:18, 5:22a, 5:24, Hebrews 11:5b, Jude 14-15). Enoch went on to marry Edna, according to Jubilees, and the sole named grandchild of Jared is Enoch's son Methuselah, the longest-living human mentioned in the Bible (Genesis 5:18, 5:21, 5:27).
Additionally, Jared was a forefather of Noah and his three sons, and a prediluvian ancestor of Jesus Christ (Luke 3:23-37). Jared's age was given as 962 years old when he died, making him the second-oldest person mentioned in the Hebrew Bible and the Septuagint. In the Samaritan Pentateuch, his age was 62 at fatherhood and only 847 at death, making Noah the oldest and Jared the seventh-oldest.

I'm currently reading something & found Enoch is also known as Idris & Jared has variations as well including Jarid & Jered. I'm sure there are other variations as well so there still might be something to be found.

I'm still on the hunt but to no avail. Everything I've found so far goes straight to the story of Enoch with nothing in particular on his father. I've been searching other texts to see if it is mentioned by another referring to the subject. Anyway, I can't recall where this site came from but it is loaded with older books free to read in their entirety online. (Forgotten Books) I spent a couple of hours there today (got sidetracked ). It might hold something.

I think you are right buddha. The second book of Adam & Eve can be found online here: http://www.piney.com/ApocAdEve2.html
It deals in large part with Jared & his sons. This may well be were the "Lamentations of Jared" came from.
I am studying every thing I can about this concept of fallen angels & their effect on mankind. I have a theory about it I am trying to prove to myself.
Interestingly enough there are references to such an event in the Greek pantheon & Zorastorism. Some of you may have been aware of this but it was news to me. Thanks

I have been searching about this book also but the only book I could find that is near the lamentations of Jared is " SEFER HAYASHAR". The book covers Biblical history from the creation of Adam and Eve to a summary of the initial Israelite conquest of Canaan in the beginning of the book of Judges.

The lamentations of Jared/Yared sound familiar but can't place it to a specific place in my memory bank. See this, http://www.mazzaroth.com/ChapterThree/B ... Giants.htmIt only contains a reference to the lamentation of Jared. Quote: Jared was Enochs' father, who through tradition dictated to his son about 5800 B.C. "The Lamentations of Jared" how Gods came to the earth and led astray his own tribe of Adam and those tribes of Cain also.

From what I can tell from the link you provided Borgia, it is Satan's introductions of music & musical instruments, in particular the horn. Quote: CHAP. XX.
Ravishing music; strong drink loosed among the sons of Cain. They don colorful clothing. The children of Seth look on with longing eyes. They revolt from wise counsel; they descend the mountain into the valley of iniquity. They can not ascend the mountain again. Then there's the booze. Quote: 5 Satan also taught Genun to bring strong drink out of corn; and this Genun used to bring together companies upon companies in drink-houses; and brought into their hands all manner of fruits and flowers; and they drank together. The introduction to the concept of violence & war. Quote: 7 Then Satan, when he saw that they yielded to Genun (Jubal) and hearkened to him in every thing he told them,
rejoiced greatly, increased Genun's understanding until he took iron and with it made weapons of war. After all the excitement going on in front of Jared's people still failed to attract them, a flash of colour was thrown into the mix. Quote: Satan entered into him, and taught him to make dyeing - stuffs for garments of divers patterns, and made him understand how to dye crimson and purple and what not. There's more folks if anyone wants to delve that deep. I found this little tidbit among the many links describing the pact made to marry the "children of man" from Enoch's Book of Watchers. I found this in chapter 21 (The Second Book of Adam & Eve): Quote: 9 Then Noah said unto him, "Who is he of us that shall be left?"
10 And Jared answered, "Thou art he that shall be left. And thou shalt take the body of our father Adam from the cave, and place it with thee in the ark when the flood comes. . There's a lot of stuff in there that's pretty interesting. I must have spent 90 minutes & I don't think I scratched the surface of what's there. I think I'll have to head back there in the future. It contains & links to some stuff I can remember discussing or asking about. Very fascinating literature for sure.
