The worse part of this is, the everyday citizens have no concept of how big the rest of the world is. They blindly follow their little egomanic leader who has convinced them they have the biggest and best army in the world. I am afraid this is yet another example of a true mental case in control.

This is more serious for the nations surrounding North Korea.
Japan and South Korea are living in fear, because now Kim Il yung has the capabilities to devastate.
I believe this man is a mental case...
The North Korean people themselves have been kept in the dark about what is really going on in the world (as the japanese were in WW2) and dont know that what their "leader" is doing is illigal and against all the UN stands for..
This maniac loves to parade his weaponry and goose stepping army off to the people it wont be long till he wants to
try out his new toys and demonstrate what they can do.....

I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest that this is happening because another country told them they couldn't do something.
Every nation, country and people have at some time in history decided to see how far they can go. This is North Korea's turn. The same could be said about the US when it detonated its nuclear bomb for the first time. Hopefully they don't try to re-enact Hiroshima.
I don't think he is crazy, I think he just doesn't like being pushed around and told what he should or should not do.. just like any teeanager..

Ok, but who do you think has the biggest say in the UN?
'You're either with us or the terrorists' '???
I don't think too many people are going to forget those words for a long time to come.

Regardless of the politics Firey.. This man has the bomb, his sanity is at the least questoinable. have you seen any of the parades? very reminicent of an earlier trimmed moustached meglomaniac.. I'd hazzard a guess that only a very few of our members on BoT were alive to witness Nagasaki and Hiroshima... it would be good to hear their opinions.
But in my personal opinion, living in a country that could quite possibly be hit by one of these missiles... He needs to be stopped...
This is very scary....

Crux, don't get me wrong, I agree with you, its scary.
What I was trying to point out is that we have a case of cause and effect here.
The more we push him, the more he will react. That what I meant.
When people like him feel like they are pushed into a corner they will react, and this is his reaction.
What can the UN do to stop this? Without setting of WWIII?

What I found most interesting, was not the story itself, but the comments posted below the story.
Besides, you don't have to be a muslim to be a martyr.
lol.. I agree with your prophet.. but not if it will just make things worse.

Nothing, the UN has a history of incompetence. Better off leaving the UN out of the loop.

crux, why are you defending the UN?
the UN was set up by the illumanti and the world banks to be a world govt.
as pointed out they are incompetent. the history of the UN is the history of suffering and death by the poor to middle class and the rich getting richer off it.
as far as n korea goes, i dont have a solution, other than regime change. preferably by its own citizens.

I'm only defending the absence of nuclear weapons...
I'm sure ceiling cat would approve....
and as I said the "citizens" are kept in the dark and untill he dies there will be no regime change

Of course the fly in that ointment is the question of who gets to define "needs" (and many/few, for that matter). "He who dictates the terms, controls the debate."
If events hold true to history it'll again be whoever has the biggest stick. People are so boringly predictable

Just my conspiratorial thoughts on this ....... has North Korea really succesfully achieved all of these fantastic military things the UN/America say that they have done, I mean this is a poor country that cannot feed its people , yet has the money and capability to pull off all these magnificent military maneouvres ......... maybe we are just being led to believe all of this so America can justify obliterating them, the typical red flag trick

This is not propaganda Graham, its the real thing.
and yes the people are going without in North Korea, partly because of the expenditure on the arms development...

The point I am trying to make is that is extremely amazing how much dirt can all of a sudden be found on a country the minute it finds itself in America's sights.

So let me see..... the US is bad because we want to stop him from having nukes?
We should just let him develope nukes and sell them to other countries?
We should just sit by and let the world go to hell in a handbasket?
We should play nice.
Sorry but someone has to stop this nut case.
Just remember, if we didn't drop the bomb, we would all be speaking German right now. Oh and funny how Japan is an ally of ours now.
I'm in no way saying we should ever use these bombs again. I just don't think we should let North Korea ever be able to sell them because someone else WILL use them if they don't.
An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Better we should fix the problem before the problem fixes us.

I guess, I will be a bit more blunt this time.
I dislike ( for lack of a nicer word) how the US decides who gets to have bombs, oil, stuff in general.
If you want to get rid of the bomb, which I think we all agree are bad regardless of who has them, we have to start in the US.
Who has the most nuclear weapons? Who has the most to gain?
The US.
Its a tit for tat situation right now, North Korea wants them, because the US has them. See what Im trying to say..
My original comment was.. Who is calling the kettle black here?
I think one of the sticky points for North Korea, was that other countries have them, why can't they? And Im sure, the biggest reason they have them and are now testing them, is because they want to be equals in this super power race.
Would you want to be the only guy on the block without some security?

Hence why we will never get rid of them.
If we did, we wouldn't be the United States any more. We would be a big parking lot. Getting rid of our weapons is suicide and it will (or should) NEVER happen. That would definitely start World War III with a very bad outcome.
If we said today that we would get rid of all our weapons, do you honestly think every other country would do the same. HELL NO!
Someone has to stand up to these rogue nations and it certainly isn't the crooked UN. They are a joke. And you can't stand up to someone if you don't have anything to back yourself up.
Would you rather the bad guys say who gets and who doesn't get weapons? As much as people want to trash the US, without us this world would be a whole lot worse off (dispite it's downfalls). I certainly don't think that everything the US does is always the right thing but we do a lot more good than people give us credit for.
No other country in the world gives to others as much as the US.

Abit of topic but I'd like to point out that Germany was already defeated 3 months before the atomic bombs were dropped. Also, every militarian historian agrees that they were highly unessessary since Japan was practically defeated when they were dropped. They were more of a sign towards the Soviets and tens of thousands of inocent Japanese civilians had to pay for it.
On topic:
I wouldn't like to see North Korea getting nukes either. South Korea and Japan's fear is justified. Allthough there are still other options before force should be used. China still has a huge econonomical sanction card it can play out.
