Post subject: Sources for mysterious creatures/monsters in art

Hello,
Maybe I should have posted this in the "Help"/General section but I wasn't sure. I was wondering if anyone knows of any good print sources for depictions of mythical and/or folkloric creatures in ancient/traditional artwork, be it pictographs, rock art, sculpture, etc. ( I guess one could fit alien-like beings into said category as well). Some books on cryptozoology and folklore mention depictions of various creatures, albeit vaguely sometimes, in ancient arts, and I thought the viewing of such sources would be quite interesting, if they are out there.
