I found this articvle and thought to share it with you all..

In the article it mentions that in the past Ice sheets have been know to shrink within a few hundred years.

Does anyone know when the ice sheets started to shrink? Has it been going on for a long time, and just now in the past few years started to shrink really fast?

If that is tha case, then our ice sheets were huge, and our 'few hundred years' is almost up?

Good article. Thanks firey. I have referred to it in this thread about land elevation.

I think we very well might be in for a bit of high water as the sun gets more active towards solar maximum in 2012.
