I used to have a dream where I can fly and try to show other peoples to do the same.

Dreams, like using imagination, give us a glimpse of what could be a contraction of the speed of light. Our dreams seem shorter even when we have the contrary feeling when we wake-up. Contraction. We cannot travel faster than light but we can contract it's speed and use this to travel very far away and in less time. Do you know about Éric Julien? Very bright man. Do a search.

At what speed are we traveling in our galaxy?

Greetings, Endofmyworld. Welcome to BoT! :D

It's really interesting how a dream can seem to take so much time to play out, when in reality it's only a few seconds. I had a very vivid dream once, that I still remember clearly. It spanned about a week, & I saw the details of every day of that week. It was also filled with people I didn't know, in a place I'd never been, & it wasn't my face in a mirror, yet I knew it was me. :o

Welcome to BOT endofmyworld. :)

Did you know that when we dream of flying we are very often having an out-of-the-body experience?

I also find that psychic abilities like telekenisis(sp?) come into my dreams. I've never experienced that in waking state though.

Q: If dreams only last a short while (Some say seconds), how come 'Rapid Eye Movement' which we do when dreaming can last longer? I've watched my family do this before. :-?

Theory about dreams: they never stop.

Our waking minds are so powerful we make them stop. But, even then, we are merely imagining.

Each day, as we go about our routines, do you ever really "see" what you are looking at?

Ever catch yourself staring at an object for likes 10 minutes just to realize all the sudden that you have been gawking awkwardly at some random ass thing thinking about something completely different?

And when you were thinking, didn't you picture it? Don't you "see" what you imagine?

Ask yourselves these questions and consider why anyone rarely does. First, they are a bit hard to explain. Second, dreams usually aren't treated as "real" even though we each have them EVERY night.

So, here's my idea:

Dreams = imagination

And it never stops cycling. We trick ourselves into believing they are different, yet each may be used the same way (with full lucidity, which people rarly have in dreams LET ALONE everyday life.

So really, I'd say we travel at the speed of thought, which is either the speed of light or (imho) faster.

One can become completetly lucid and even warp to different planets / stars, so it seems that somehow our dreams transcend any speed of movement simply because dreams & thoughts don't move. They are there! Think of any place now, you're there! And I don't mean this figurativly, I mean your spiritual presence literally is there when you think about it. Granted "there" is a hyperspacial plane junction of many thoughts (yours & everyone elses) collected in one point with limited conscious understanding, but as are all semi-sentient creatures struggling to observe just part of the infinite awe that is the everything. But even so, this planar version of creation is jsut as real as anything.

We give thought too little credit.
We treat dreams like fanciful nonsense.

It would seem most likely then that these are some of the last places true wisdom is held and that many answers to our mortal suffering could be unlocked if we merely BELIEVED in what we dreamed & thought as real.

It has been proven time & time again that meditation helps lower crime & overall problems in societies.

Imagine what it would be like if everyone had good dreams, too.

Some say nothing...
I believe dreams have the power to help save all creation from entropy.

But then again, Oneiromancer, at your service.
Sleeping is an art, divine images pass each night reavealing the whole of creation & destruction, and we oft only remember a fleeting glimpse, a quick reaction, & a puff of nonlogic. The whole of the future, the past & present, the potential futures & multiple individual lives, they are ALL there at all times.

We talk to eachother in perfect telepathy but recognise not its use...
Yet, each time i come back here to post, it is as though everyone has read my mind and i theirs without knowing, so we may reveal are great works to eachother & still be amazed, yet still be prepared & comprehend as our own dreams.

Welcome to you endofmyworld, and may you find all you seek.
Let me assure you that the end of a world is also a begining.

EOMW, where's your avatar from? It's an inverted version of one of the images that came to me a few weeks ago. Along with the one I use for my own avatar.

Oneiromancer, while I was reading your post I was thinking that I just posted earlier today that if I could remember my dreams I would learn from then. When I got to the bottom you said we are telepathically communicating with each other without knowing & I was thinking the same thing that you were of the same frame of mind as myself.
I was going to respond anyway but I had to add that amazing bout of synchronicity.
I also believe we are dreaming as we are awake. I am very easily distracted. My mind is always racing. A couple of months ago I had to see a neurologist & she gave me something to help me sleep. This is because so much stuff is running through my mind I can't sleep. I've been anywhere from 2 to 4 hours trying to sleep.
I'm always finishing people's sentences. Sometime's I know what a person will say but keep it to myself. I've read about something & dreamt I was there. It is real. I can feel pain. I've been driving many different vehicles & I don't have a drivers license. Conversations with people it seems my brain have invented but feeling like they are close friends. In a dream I had a few years ago (pre 911) about Saddam Hussein. He was real. He was in the same room as I was. I was scared shitless. I actually thought I was going to die. I woke up that morning 4:30 am & couldn't go back to bed.
I haven't thought about it the way you have though, Oneiromancer. It makes sense. Why would my brain create people. It seems like a lot of effort. Some characters have been consistantly there. Other show up out of nowhere & others 5, 10, or 15 years apart. Your method of thinking would explain alot of questions people have been asking for years. Imagine what we could do if we could harvest this amazing resource.
:peace:

I have to agree with Oneiromancer.
I have felt this way for a very long time. Dreams are as real as any other experience, sometimes even more real (if that makes sense).

Trent, this resource can be harvested. I suggest you check out Tibetan Dream Yoga. I got an e-book about it a while ago, and I havent read it all yet, but its freaking amazing so far. I can put it up for download on putfile or something if your interested.

We are all searching in fact. That's no news to you. Don't be fooled, it's only my personal thinking.

My avatar? I forgot where I downloaded from. LOL... It's called Vector. Maybe with a little search (images) you will find.

"Rapid eye movement": the image I get is a wave. This is a physical reaction which might not be give the true time. I think the body reacts on this "plane" about something which is happening on another "plane". Time is a concept related to speed. No? And dreams are the product of the unconscious part of our imagination.
We cannot be aware of everything at the same time and speed. Dreams express this, I believe. We can dream the same dream again if we have enough confidence in ourselves. I did it many times. We can even be aware of dreaming. If we stay asleep it's because we like the dream. I used to dream flying to a mountain where only me could enter a secret door. The feeling was wonderfull. So, all I had to do was concentrate on that entrance and the dream came again. It's fascinating exploring this mental world. Daydreaming is good too...if you are not crossing a street though!

Thanks again to you wonderfull buddies!

Dear Phoenix. I just had a glimpse to the site you proposed and the following catched my attention:

"All Creation is at Work to create Energy which is used as Fuel
to continue to create."

The universal power which is creating time, the present time, is always in fact creating the universe because this same universe could not exit somewhere else than in the present which is, a it is suggested, the re-creation of every moment, or quatum of energy, repeated over and over as matter change. That is what gave me the idea that "God" lives in the future and is well. He precedes time because he is the source of it.

My own opinion.

yah! why would we just manifest people from no where? good point Trent.
Glad you're awakened to telepathy as well. ^^

Another note about lucidity. Some define an area where the planes of dreams & our physical one meet. There, the dream
feels real & for the most part, probably is.

Robert Jordan calls it Tela'aran'rhiod in The Wheel of Time. Dreaming is an art in his fiction that can be learned like any other skill.

Tela'aran'rhiod is a dangerous place though, because your dream body & real body are connected, one becomes vulnerable... to die in a Tela'aran'rhiod dream is to die in waking life as well.

Some big keys to lucid dreaming in that series.

Also, REM is interesting as a physical reation to things that are not physically there. States of REM are similar to those of hallucination where the person "sees" visions, most of these states are quite similar to dreams in ways.

Dreaming the same dream is a skill to perfect and then forget. It is only useful at rare times & even then should be treated as a sacred act. Often one believes they have dreamed the same exact dream twice, yet they always differ. Dreams bend so eaily to the will of the dreamer that it is quite possible to try too hard. That eing said, dreaming almost the same dream is a way to perfecting the physiccal rendering of objects, astral evocation, etc. Just use caution, you get what you want.

Dreams are also great ways to learn things you may not particularly have the resources to learn.

Above all, there is no reason to have a nightmare, no way to have a bad dream, if one merely learns to have fun in any situation, in a dreamworld where one can do infinite things, it is only our personal will that we truly contend with.
