Major Announcement



The Book of THoTH with the help of best selling author Philip Gardiner has struck a deal with one of the world’s leading record companies - Reality Entertainment - to provide thousands of dollars worth of prizes for submitted articles. In addition after 6 months the very best articles will be chosen to appear in a new Book to be launched world-wide by Reality Press entitled The Book of THoTH : Wisdom of the Ages. Although there will be no royalty payments on the book, presently unpublished authors will have the chance to see their name in print in a major new book and will then be able to use this as a catalyst to further their publishing career.

"This is a major step forward in helping people get their voice heard, and getting previously unpublished ideas out there in the greater world. I know for a fact that there are thousands of prospective authors out there desperate to be heard and I was wondering how I could help them. I spoke to THoTH and to Reality and brought the two together and so with this united and powerful front we can really make a statement and help people. I simply couldn’t help everybody on their own, but this way we get to help more and more and can carry this on every year." Said Philip.

With Guitars, CD’s of some of the world’s leading bands, Books and much more the prizes alone are worth writing for, so come on everybody get writing now and start inputting into The Book of THoTH. Philip, THoTH and all who contributed to this idea...very well done indeed. Its a wonderful gift to those talented authors out there who remain unpublished.

Well, some of us so-called authors have had lucky breaks, even though we worked dam hard to make them happen, and so it's about time some of us helped others get a lucky break too. The articles have to be good, thought provoking, and relevant to ancient mysteries, the unexplained, the paranormal, UFO's - well you get the jist!

And another thing buddy, we need to spread the word, so if all you great people can let the world know for us it would be great. There's plenty of room in a good big book for lot's of articles. It's gonna be a really different thing we are doing! So exciting.

I don't know if I'm going to submit articles , though.

I like writing about technology and internet , but not paranormal activities. Although , I was writing a sci-fi novel untill a few years ago , when a major writer's block hit me.

Maybe I'll get back to the writing , whenever the writer's block gets away , of course.

Is there a submissions deadline? That might be a good thing to know for interested parties....

I have a few other questions, some of which i've already sent in PM's, but i'm sure to ask a few more before this whole thing is said and done...

Will check with Phil, gut reaction is that probably not, given the non fiction criteria. However will see if it's possible. I'm hoping to get an area showcasing talent here at BoT in the book.

We're looking at 6 months before completion, so submissions will have to be in well before that. I'm meeting Phil on Monday and will have a list of questions for him!

Talk to him about adding a Creative Corner type section to the book that consists of fictional descriptions of topics that are to be covered in the book. I know he is currently working on a fictional book that will be written this way, so maybe he will think it is an awesome idea to add to this book.

This way you could add such Poetry and other Creative Corner additions. I think there is a part of the community that would definitely fit into this genre. Fictional descriptions or poetry are often the best way to reach out to the reader to get the point across to them. Look at The Davinci Code.

If it ends up being that this just isn't possible, you might want to edit the announcement and let everyone know that it is non-fiction only, this way you can prevent multiple entries that will not fit the requirements.

It's not down to Phil really Vehement, it's the publishers. But will see what can be done that is for sure.




It's already there, I just don't think I've made it prominent enough. I will see what can be done to point this out, I've contacted those who have submitted fiction to let them know.

Been working hard on publicity for our new book, so far we have:

Fate Magazine
UFO Magazine
Bella Paranormal Magazine

All promoting us in their publications

Theres quite a few websites going to be promoting the competition too

Hopefully I'll be in the local papers and on the radio too promoting the new book

Awesome bossman! I think this book is really going to be great. I haven't managed to put an article down on paper yet...but I'm working on it.

I think it's safe to say Phil now has his radio show, and will be mentioning this as priority on it

We're getting some really good entries, still plenty of time to submit, so don't panic OT !

I forgot to mention Fate Magazine are donating a years subscription to their magazine as a prize too

Just to let the fine people of BoT know, I will be discussing the BoT competition on my new radio show on nettalkradio.co.uk tonight. First ever show as well, 10pm to 11pm and repeated on Wednesdays. I will continue to harp on about it on every show too!
