AMERSFOORT -- An extraordinary UFO sighting was reported on May 17, 2003, when multiple witnesses saw some strange flying objects. A 36-year-old limousine driver, took some pictures with his HP 620 digital camera. Around 13:45 he took notice of a large weird shaped object in the sky with two smaller objects beneath it. The smaller objects seemed to be under intelligent control by the larger object in some way. The object appeared to be round shaped and reasonably large. The distance between the witness and the UFOs was about 350 meters at 300-meter altitude. The strange objects were gray-black and didn't make any noise. They moved at a variable speed, about 30 km/h average, at first south, and then north. After ten minutes the UFOs disappeared over the horizon.

The witness took three pictures of the strange flying objects that showed twenty perfectly round orbs that were not noticed by the witness during the sighting. Three orbs formed a triangular formation. Experts were contacted and couldn't explain the phenomena that was displayed.

Two weeks ago the excitement and the traditional display of the vintage aircraft revival festival that attracts a lot of tourists and fans year by year in the UK was interrupted by the intrusion of a non anounced flying object that caused confusion and uncertainty in a dangerous situation that could have ended in a tragedy.

The incident took place in Goodwood, West Sussex on September 5, 2003 at the annual Goodwood Festival and Revival where an old aircraft display was presented. Goodwood is located just outside Chichester in West Sussex south of England, 60 miles from London and about 30 miles from Brighton and Southampton. Goodwood is also known by it's worldwide famous racing cars festival, an event that brings together hundreds of enthusiastic fans in a major event that includes new and old racing cars, motorcycles and airplane exhibitions.

Among the fans of the old war aircraft display was Mr. Simon Anderson who likes to attend and film aircraft displays and in this ocasion destiny was keeping for him an unusual and intruiging surprise.

SIMON : " I made a discovery in the sky when filming the Goodwood festival and old aircraft display.

Just two old aircraft were flying; facing north-south when filming.

A fast object shot past the aircraft I was very amazed then trying to keep filming as it went up into the clouds.

Then it went off to the south towards Portsmouth. I am interested in aircraft filming them for years at displays but never seen this thing before. "

Simon, a 29 years old from West Sussex was filming the event with a JVC Hi-8 PAL camcorder . The time was 1:35 PM and the sky was clear. After several days Simon contacted me asking for advice and sent me a VHS copy of the footage.

I must say that I got impressed by the images and the unique moment when two airplanes confronted a disc shape object in a maneuver that may have resulted in a dangerous risk of collision.

The quality of the footage is crystal clear with zooms to both the aircrafts and the UFO. The first images present two old war airplanes, one british and one american flying in formation and making a turn from left to right. Simon kept filming the airplanes and a few seconds later a strange unknown brownish object, round in shape appeared in the scene passing by from right to left close to the airplanes at certain moderated speed.

The images are clear and the unknown object was caught in several frames by Simon's camera. At this moment he realized that a mysterious object was present in the sky so he turned his camera looking for the object trying to locate it's position and in a few more seconds he found the strange intruder still in the sky. Then Simon made a great zoom to the object and it's shape and size was clearly revealed.

A disc shaped flying object was there floating making balancing movements and shining with the sun suggesting a metallic structure. This part of the footage sequence is impressive and the excitement of an impressed Simon is evident when he discovered the true shape of the unknown intruder.

Almost immediately while taping some questions began wondering in Simon's mind : What is this ? From where ? After some seconds of balancing maneuvers in wich the UFO seemed to be still in that point it began to move itself to the right making a movement aside it's right changing it's color to a certain brown tone but keeping the disc shape while showing it's outline.

Some additional movements were made and Simon decided to make a zoom out to establish height and distance from the ground for reference. A tree is visible then and the UFO at great distance like a dark point revealing Simon's videocamera potential. Then the UFO dissapeared quickly but Simon continued filming another airplane that arrived to the scene maybe in the hope that the spectacular UFO may return but it did not. Simon was certain that he captured a unique moment in history.

I made some interviews to Simon and assured him that this was indeed a UFO, a classic flying disc even that he has not know anything about UFOs before this could be the answer to his impressive experience. As this was a massive event involving many people I asked him some necesary questions for the research and Simon kindly gave me his cooperation.

SIMON: " The air space was closed at the time of the display. Many witnesses that's correct.

Persons which noticed object suggested telling a paper they fly back to usa today with a still photo from an old camera not that clear as crowds in view.People had cars with family's visiting from the usa i don't personally know the americans they just said good by as they left the area.

More people at the time pointed it out a man named Ted about 45 in age from this area said look look up in the sky near the old aircraft.

Santiago, I still have many question i need to know about this. "

Simon Anderson's experience is certainly quite unique and represent an important case for Ufology. But this incident is not the only one of it's kind that has happened. In Mexico during the Independence day some witnesses taped UFOs during the military aircraft parade in 1991, 1992 and 1993. Also in Argentina, Chile, Peru and Brazil some incidents involving UFOs and airplanes at displays and exhibitions have been documented on video by witnesses including some with tragic results.

This situation reveals how little we know or nothing about these presences that defy our knowledge challenging our airspace control in the most surprising and intruiging appearances that leave us confused and puzzled.

The Goodwood festival was now the one in turn and for those enthusiastic fans that attended this magnificent event we could only think that in some way maybe they received an extra attraction not included in the program but as a bonus, a spectacular and amazing one.

The airplanes in question are an American made Curtis P-40E or F model which appears with Chinese markings used in China and Burma. The bigger-winged aircraft is an American Marine F4U-Corsair also used in the Pacific Theatre against the Japanese. Just so you know. I wouldn't want someone to doubt the UFO story because the airplanes were inaccurately described as an American P-47 Thunderbolt and a British Spitfire.

Hi Brian

I recently was out in my back yard with a cup of coffee, and noticed something moving then stopped and hovered for about 30 seconds, so I went back in and grabbed our Sony cybershot digital cam and got a picture of it (lower right) UFO? My wife thinks it's a plane but I told her you should have seen it's movement, It flew off really FAST and was out of sight!

I was home from work this last Tuesday , 9-30-03, the time was about 11:45 to 12:30 p.m., not quite sure.

When I first noticed it, it was just hovering and slowly moving sideways a bit, just west of our house, maybe about 5-8 miles, and I would say somewhere between 2000 to 5000 ft ?? Not sure, when I rushed back outside with my cam, it flew off after 10 or so seconds, in a north, northeast direction ( there is also a small airport in that direction too) VERY high velocity also, in a few seconds it was gone!

This is the second time I have captured something strange on film, the other time, I caught on film what looked like a B1b bomber at high altitude. but I never saved it though. If I would have thought of it at the time, I would have put the cam on record, it takes short 30 sec videos, oh well.

Thank you to the witness for allowing me to post the report and pictures.

My son and I were visiting a friend of mine in Weyauwega. I am reluctant to reveal the exact location out of concern for my friend's privacy as well as my own. However the general location is just North of Main street on the East side of 110 and South of the train tracks. My boy was sledding in the snow and I was taking pictures. It was in the evening and was starting to get dark pretty quickly. My son pointed up to the sky and we noticed some lights coming in from what I believe is the south west. At that point I just pointed the camera up and took the shots. The object really gave me the impression of a balloon - except for the lights. They seemed to cycle all different patterns. The object passed almost directly overhead (picture 1) and then headed south towards the train tracks (picture 2). As the object passed I could make out more of a disk shape than a balloon shape. I just remember my son asking me over and over what it was and I didn't have a clue.

Note: 2/24/03 - As of today we have been unable to contact this witness to further investigate this sighting. The witness has not responded to our emails and did not include any further contact information with the report. Any new information will be posted here.

Weyauwega UFO
Photographic Evaluation

Anyone familiar with the subject of UFOs has seen the hazy, out-of-focus, or grainy pictures of what might be strange craft in the sky, so when a clear picture of an alleged UFO appears it is immediately regarded with suspicion. These two pictures are intriguing for what they appear to show - a twilight disk with no obvious signs of a hoax.

This alleged sighting took place in the vicinity of Weyauwega, Wisconsin early February of this year, as reported in the Feb. 26 issue of UFO Roundup and on UFOWisconsin.com.

The witness states that she was outside during the evening and happened to notice lights that passed overhead. She says that her impression was the lights were from a balloon, which should be noted, but the photographs that she took seem to depict something other than a hot-air balloon or dirigible.

The witness did not provide any further details and has chosen not to say any more about the sightings and photos. This should be taken into consideration when deciding on the validity of the sighting but could indicate a couple of things. The witness could simply be protecting her privacy, not unreasonable in an event as strange as this, or she does not wish to be identified as a hoaxer.

In either possibility, the photographs remain interesting and worthy of further scrutiny.

Photograph 1

This picture clearly shows a circular-shaped object with three bright white lights and a small red light in a position high in the sky relative to the photographer. The camera appears to be well focused on the object in comparison to the trees in the foreground with enough light remaining in the sky for good depth-of-field.

A contrast-enhanced enlargement of the picture shows us image compression artifacts consistent with the JPEG compression used in digital cameras. (Indicated by the boxy appearence of the sky and granularity around the edges of the branches.)

The object appears to be behind the branches of the tree in the foreground, with the notable exception of the light on the lower-left portion of the disk. However, because of the brightness of the lights (which is more evident in the second photograph) it would be consistent that the thin branch would be washed out. Also notice there is a small branch evident in front of the much dimmer red light.

We can see no obvious digital manipulation of the image, such as smearing from a digital 'paintbrush' or inconsistencies where the object might have been carefully masked to appear as though it were behind the branches.

The object also appears washed out in the image, which is consistent with how an object might appear at a great height during a cloudy evening. This would say that it wasn't an object simply hoisted behind a tree or some kind of lighted frisbee.

Photograph 2

This picture shows a disk-shaped object with four lights with an aqua cast in a position lower in the sky relative to the photographer than the first. Although less distinct than the first photograph, a circular or disk shaped outline can be seen through the tree branches.

Similarly to the first picture, the object seems to be behind the tree. This picture is less compelling than the first, but it, like the last, shows no obvious sign of digital tampering.

Conclusions

While there is nothing apparent in these images to give reason to doubt there integrity, there is still no way to be absolutely certain they were not faked. They were apparently taken with a relatively low-end digital camera, but there are plenty of ways that they could have been made to appear that way. If the pictures had been taken with a 35MM camera and the negatives were available for evaluation, we could be much more certain about their legitimacy.

With those reservations aside, I am intrigued by what they do show. If real, these pictures are some of the clearest I have seen of a low-flying daylight disk. Now, it's possible that Goodyear or the nice folks in the Air Force decided to send a top-secret prototype blimp to buzz Weyauwega, but I doubt it.

UFO Caught By Oz City Worker's Digital Camera:
Council Refers Photo To Government Agencies

City of Whittlesea, Australia
Jim Linton,
Communications Officer

Jan 23, 2004

An employee of this major municipality during his routine work as a traffic engineer took a photograph of a level railway crossing at Beveridge north of Melbourne using a digital camera.

When it was downloaded from the camera on to a computer an object appeared in the sky on photograph.

This Council has no opinion about the object.

We just do not know what the object could be and would welcome any explanation.

This Council believes it has an obligation to pass the image on to the relevant authorities for their consideration and investigation.

The image has been referred by Council to the Chief Defence Scientist, Defence Science & Technology Organisation, and the Civil Aviation Authority.

Council is considering referring it to NASA and other authorities.

UFO picture a saucer wonder

A mysterious photograph has sparked a UFO frenzy in the city's north.

Both believers and sceptics are scratching their heads over a picture, snapped in Beveridge by a council officer last week.

Whittlesea Council is considering informing NASA and has already sent the image to Australian authorities.

The photographer, Whittlesea Council traffic engineer, Roland Rozario said he could not explain the digital photo, which shows a small round object zooming through the top right side of the frame.

Mr Rozario said he and a colleague were doing a routine audit of a railway level crossing about 2pm on Thursday, January 15.

"We didn't see or hear anything when we were there," he said. "I took about 10 or 12 photos, facing east and west.

"Then I came back to the office, downloaded the images and noticed an object in one photo.

"I still don't know what it is. I passed it around the office and people didn't know what it was. A few said it didn't look like a bird, an aircraft or even a bug in front of the camera."

Mr Rozario said a train passed through the crossing just seconds after the photograph was taken and believes a passenger may have spotted something in the sky.

Whittlesea Council's communications officer, Jim Linton, said the image to the Chief Defence Scientist, Defence Science and Technology Organisation and the Civil Aviation Authority.

He said the council was considering referring it to NASA and other authorities.

"As a municipal council we have this image and we believe it is responsible to pass it on to the Government authorities who have the expertise and let them work it out," he said.

Mr Linton said staff assured the council the photograph was not altered or tampered with.

"We're not making any claim on it. We're looking for some expert who can look at it and tell us. Maybe there will never be an answer."

Weather bureau senior forecaster Peter Blake said the photograph did not look like anything meteorological.

"It almost looks like a plane from the rear. It is certainly not a weather balloon," Mr Blake said. Local flying saucer experts also struggled to explain the photograph.

Victorian UFO Research Society scientific adviser Bernard Wilson said the group needed more information in order to make a full assessment.

"There are some interesting aspects to this photo. The sun reflections from the object and the rails appear to be fairly consistent," he said. "There appears to be some motion blur to the left of the image which might indicate a fast-moving object."

Comments from the photographer:

"I took a series of photos "panoramic" from south west to north west on the A10 Highway& somewhere between the Franklin & Alma Rivers.

My wife and myself recently spent 8 days in Tasmania, we had a wedding to attend on the 4th of January and decided to get to Tassie a few days earlier and spend a few days there after the wedding. On the 3rd of January we travelled from Hobart to our destination for that day "Cradle Mountain", being a bit of a mad photographer and with a digital camera I tend to take a lot of photos.

I would guesstimate the time being around 2pm. That night I downloaded the photos onto my Notebook computer at our accommodation at the Highlander at Cradle Mountain, it was not until the next day when we had arrived at Hawley Beach "location of the Wedding" I was showing some friends over a couple of pre wedding drinks some photos that I had taken to date on our adventure the object was spotted by my
friend Jason. On my return to melbourne I sent the photo of to a couple of UFO sites I had found on the www you being on of them "the other sent me a dirty reply for wasting their time".

"On January 29th 2004, on the way home from picking up my 6 year old from kindergarten I saw something in the sky. I grabbed a disposable camera that I had in the car and shot through the windshield, then jumped out of the car and snapped a second and then it was gone. I got two photos (close-up above, full images below). To me it was a UFO, but maybe there is another explanation?

The object looks a little different in each photo-- maybe it was turning or whatever. I wish I had gotten a better shot or more of them. I remember a few years ago seeing 3 stars in the night sky lined up in a row ; then as I was looking at them the middle star moved out to create a triangle and then they formed a circle, spun around for a few minutes and took off in three different directions. Try explaining that one! "

Length of the yacht is 10 meter. You can see stopped supertanker at left side. UFO is stopped and staying above the yacht. (Despite of my cheap digital camera have only one slow speed shutter, I have clear UFO image. So, the UFO was stopped above the yacht at that time.)
