Hai-Uri
From The Book of THoTH (Leaves of Wisdom)
Description
A grotesque humanoid being with twisted features, the Hai-Uri is a malformed monstrosity that only possesses half of everything it should. Split vertically down the entire length of its body, one half of it seems to be missing permanently. With only one leg, one arm, one flank , and half a mouth, it is a most unnatural sight to look upon. But by being endowed with partial invisibility, it only has to turn its missing flank to stalk a potential victim without his knowledge, before launching itself at him with its powerful leaps that enable it to skip right across the shruberry and undergrowth in its way with amazing ease.
Orgin
The KhoiKoi people of south-western Africa see Hai-Uri as a maloveant visitor from the Under-World who drags his victims into that dark place with his leering half-mouth.
