It's about
Creating a massive resource of information based on content supplied by those excellent wikipedians out there, but related to our site material. Its my intention to use this as a starting point for collecting all information related to The Book Of THoTH Website as well as copyright free text elsewhere on the web.
It can be a starting point for The Book Of THoTH or you can use this as reference for anything you're not familiar with about the site.
How can I take part?
You can take part by registering here, then contacting Angel on the main site to ask for edit privileges. Although Wikipedia etiquette dictates that everyone can edit, we've decided to only allow members to edit because of the risk of morons trying to abuse the system.
It must be noted that all edits on this site are logged against your username, so if someone does decide to spoil things here, their privileges will be revoked and their accounts both here and on the main site will be suspended.
Editing is very easy, and a guide is available.
Do I need any special software?
In a word no, nothing other than your browser. However it is highly recommended that you download the Wiki Editing Toolbar for the Firefox/Mozilla based browsers This simplifies a lot of tasks, and makes the job of editing/creating pages far easier.
Can I use this information in my own site?
Yes, but only when full credit is given to this site and article detail. Please refer to the GNU Licensing page
I see a lot of links that bring up a blank page, why is this ?
Simply put, those pages don't exist yet. The quickest way to solve this is to become an editor, and use as a base the content found on Wikipedia. Or you can add whatever page detail you like as long as it is relevant and is free from copyright restrictions. There are no exceptions to this.
Can I use material from The Book of THoTH ?
Yes, please do and put any relevant links in your page too.
Can I add images?
Yes, images can be uploaded via this site and used in your pages. However these images, like the text, must be copyright free, and again no exceptions to this.
Can my page be edited?
Yes, and more than likely it will be over time. Don't panic, this is because the pages grow and more information is added. All editing is logged and a history of edits can be shown, alongside each edit is the name of the user who has edited. The "Discussion" tab for each page can be used to make notes about edits, better still the edit summary is useful for making notes about edits too.
