The latest posts from the Mysticism / Occult forums at The Book Of THoTH.
Another decent example, in part because of the age of the teacher but also the age of the video itself as well as the commentary.
"That defies all the biophysical laws as we in the West understand it, you don't emit energy, that's not the nature of things."

I really like what you've said Map. If I may, I will tell it my way:
What you believe you shall conceive. You create your own reality. This means that you can look out at the world (or all of reality) and it will echo back at you your own inner psychic constructs. For myself I look and SEE and what I see is so differnet from what you see Dannerz as to be the differnece between a pitch black night and the heart of the sun. I see life and wonder and creation and awakening. I see marvel and mystery and I am overcome with the beauty of it.
You say the Astral is a sad place. Okay. The astral is one minutely thin skin on this little reality we currently consensually inhabit. It is the world of thought forms and dreams and schemes of the earth populace. It is also not ONE THING. Your perceptions of it are not the same as you wandering through an earth neighbourhood. Becasue the Astral is not the same kind of consensus reality. What you see there is what you create there. Give you other thread where you talked at some length about going there and kicking down some religous groups version of heaven I, for one, am not surpirsed that you don't like the Astral. It echos back at you what you are creating. Understand that the Astral, compared to ALL of That Which IS is not even a speck. It's one minuscule plane. Beings there don't even know their own multi-dimensional nature yet. It's tiny. You cannot extrapolate what happens to souls from what happens in that somewhat odd little environment. Beings there ARE fragmentar - it's the nature of the place. Just like hear in "normal" 3D earth. It's like saying "there is no hope as no-one on earth knows their own true importal nature". DUH! The point of the earth experience is precisely THAT: to come to a place to experience "not self". To be here where we DON'T know. That doesn't mean anything bad. It's simply an experience from which you can extract value. And then you can begin to awaken and find your way out of here.
Many beings sojourn in the astral between lives - they haven't yet figured themselves out enough to know how to "break free" into their true power and magnificence. Which is exactly why you find lost and confused ones there. That's what IS there. But the astral is just the next little step up out of a great many steps. And all the steps together only make one little reality of of an infinite number.
I guess what I'm saying is: go look in a hospital and then decide "humanity is ill". Yeah. You're in a HOSPITAL! Or how about you join some perfectly okay group of people but you hurt them, steal from them and abuse them and then look around and see only angry, hateful people. Yeah, you made them that way!
But what if you go climb a beautiful mountain with a group who are healthy, fit, strong and happy and you are a loving and positive part of the team. Then you might come to a different conclusion: you'd only see healthy happy and loving people around you.
Friend Dannerz; if you don;t like the scenery go someplace else. Then look again. And if the scenery is still not pleasing to you it might be you that needs some work.
Sounds a bit like hypothalamic masturbation to me. You pulling your own chain valiens?
The Book of Nun describes Asetian Cosmogony
The birth of the Asetians lie with the three souls created from her essence in the Duat.
Horus and two daughters being the Divine children of Aset.
I suggest reading the Asetian Bible to fully understand the lineage and what you are asking, I would rather not spoil the read for others since the book is newly available.
Thankyou for your interesting post Sekmet.. and..
Hi, when I was younger I saw a motorcycle I liked and told a friend " I wish I had that" he said " you wish small and you should wish big...why not 10 motorcycles?" sounded greedy to me, I have never forgot it though. I remember even more that my mother told me that I didn't want to be an older fellow wishing he had done something that got by in life......so the wish has meant something to me and, still does. It means if there is an exp in life I need or want, I should pursue it so that at the time when it is not obtainable due to age or other restrictions the wish will be a memory of living....my mothers advice.
I think I do wish these days and have in the past but mostly in the form of thanks for an unknown future. It feels like a form of choice to move on the path I pick. I think that is a way to solidify direction....it's like a vision that becomes real.

S.L. "MacGregor" Mathers (first mentor and later an enemy of Crowley) writes in The Kabbalah Unveiled (Kabbala Denudata) :
"12. Notariqon is derived from the Latin word nothrius, a shorthand writer. Of Notariqon there are two forms.
In the first every letter of a word is taken for the initial or abbreviation of another word, so that from the letters of a word a sentence may be formed. Thus every letter of the word BRAShITh, Berashith, the first word in Genesis, is made the initial of a word, and we obtain BRAShITh RAH ALHIM ShIQBLV IShRAL ThVRH, Besrashith Rahi Eloim Sheyequebelo Israel Torah: "In the beginning the Elohim saw that Israel would accept the law."
and
"13. The second form of Notariqon is the exact reverse of the first. By this the initials or finals, or both, or the medials, of a sentence, are taken to form a word or words. Thus the Qabalah is called ChKMh NSThRH, Chokhmah Nesethrah, "the secret wisdom;" and if we take the initials of these two words Ch and N, we form by the second kind of Notariqon the word ChN, Chen, "grace." Similarly, from the initials and finals of the words MI IOLH LNV HShMIMH, Mi Iaulah Leno Ha-Shamayima, "Who shall go up for us to heaven?" (Deut. xxx. 12), are formed MILH, Milah, "circumcision," and IHVH, the Tetragrammaton, implying that God hath ordained circumcision as the way to heaven."

And I agree with Nebula in that ;

The paraphernalia we use are just a way to make visible or amplify the magick.
Which is, imho, by and large directly applicable to a large part of that which is modern occultism. It´s a rather convoluted tool, but if the air of mystique and authenticity appeals to you then perhaps you should stick with it.
Just my 2 cents or whatever it's worth

Hi tarotica! Thanks for your post about Hadit, whom I'd never heard about before. Please enjoy your time here at BoT!
Hello
I am new and looking through the forums, came across this interesting piece. As far as Giger goes he had his time like anyone else. His thoughts are his, places where a great deal fear to tread pardom my French
His art is certainly of a very dark nature, exploring his dark human side? Something we all have.
Humanity in general have issues, which they would like keep inside in the deep parts of are souls.
Sounds like shock treatment? Plenty of them!
Someone who sounds like a showman, well if so, there is plenty of people who are of that nature in today's world.
Giger was facinating at the time, a world so strange that he could have got his ideas from his dreams or somewhere else. Who knows but if so would explain his expression in his art work.
I feel that some of the horror writers could have got inspiration from those lines.
Crowley character was someone who knew which way the wind was blowing sounds, in my view quite the showman once again?
Carl Jung Oh! He was one who used medications to achieve his conclusions highly unrecomemmded Folks!!!!
Sincerely
