THE mystery of the flying fowl in Fletcher has left everyone guessing.
The residential suburb in Newcastle’s west has copped its third airborne chicken, and the puzzle is no closer to being solved.
The latest victim, Lara Riley, arrived home on Tuesday to find cracked roof tiles and chicken remains across the side of her house. "The cat found it first and he was pretty excited about it," Mrs Riley said. "But I really have no idea where it has come from." She said raining chickens had become a hot topic of conversation in the community.

Has the era of hands-free Web surfing arrived?
Dmitry Gorodnichy, an inventor from the Institute of Information Technology in Ottawa, has developed a computer navigation system that relies on the movements of a user’s nose to direct a cursor, New Scientist has reported.
For good measure, a simple blink of the right or left eye corresponds to the right or left click of a mouse button, the magazine said.
The inventor expects the nose-steered mouse, or "nouse", will make using a computer easier for people with disabilities or for video game enthusiasts who would like to slay bad guys with the bob of the head and blink of an eye.

 Hello !!
Boy are you in for some brain taxing with these first batch of Quizzes. I know it's spelt with one Z, but this is my doing. So if you feel that you're up to the challenge, click Entertainment on the Main Menu, then Choose Quizz. Select the General Category and off you go.
There are more to come, but some guidelines. First you've got to be registered to play (how else would we know who you are and how you've scored). Second NO cheating !!
Your points will be updated after you choose an answer, and you will only get one chance to enter your answers. If you don't do too well.... tough! muhahaha.. You've been warned. Just an announcement for all those folks who took part in the last Quiz. Theres another !! All admins LOG OUT ! before playing this quiz (I can check) and no Googling for the answers, as I can see from the logs who took more time than needed muhahahahah.
Its really so simple this one, don't blame me if you think the answers aren't correct. I researched this stuff for at least 5 minutes so the Quizmasters word is final! :o)

Sorry, I just have to make mention of something I'm finding funny. It goes something like this, I've been posting articles about what I thought were unusual objects on Mars Surface.

Obviously NASA aren't going to admit there's anything unusual in an artificial kind of way, and to subtly prove their point, they make mention of this rock to say how much it resembles a boat, well I can't see any resemblance, can you? They single THAT one out because of it's unusual shape? Hellooooo theres about half a dozen at least need looking at more than this !

A very quick message to let you know, I've put a word association game on the right hand side menus here on the Front Page. Saves going into the forum for it :D Can do a lot more with it here too. So lets see how quickly we can fill this up!
It should be over there on the right, if you can't see it, it's for registered users only at the moment, unless you think it should be available to all public. (I'm a bit dubious about that) :D

Humanity is a very visual species. We rely on our eyes to tell us what is going on in the world around us. Put any image in front of a person and that person will examine the picture looking for anything familiar.
Even if the examiner has no idea what he/she is looking at in a picture, he/she will still be able to make a statement about the picture, usually preceded by the words "it looks like..."
