Article Source A US researcher says he has "definitely" found the lost civilisation of Atlantis in the watery deep off Cyprus, adding his theory to a mystery which has baffled explorers for centuries.
Robert Sarmast says a Mediterranean basin was flooded in a deluge about 9,000 BC, submerging a rectangular land mass he believes was Atlantis.
The land mass now lies 1.5 kilometres beneath sea level between Cyprus and Syria.
"We have definitely found it," said Mr Sarmast, who led a team of explorers 80 kilometres off the south-east coast of Cyprus this month.
He says deep water sonar scanning has indicated man-made structures - including a three-kilometre-long wall, a walled hill summit and deep trenches - on a submerged hill.

Several large international expeditions set off for different parts of the world last year to find vestiges of legendary Atlantis, which is still considered the exciting mysteries in the history of human civilization.
According to the legend, the continent was flooded ten thousand years before Christ. Scientists still find ancient maps showing now-defunct islands and continents.

A Russian expedition headed by a member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences Yuri Zakharov has established the exact location of the capital of the ancient state of Shambala.
The mystical center revered by many religions and philosophers all over the World. “We saw what no European had ever seen before,” Zakharov claimed.
Speaking at a press conference organized by the Russian Information Agency Novosti, Yuri Zakharov said that the expedition was unique. “Nothing similar has been done before,” the researcher said.

On April 5, 1909, the Arizona Gazette published an article detailing
the discovery of a “great underground citadel” located
in the Grand Canyon. The discovery was purportedly made by G.
E Kinkaid (or Kincaid as both spellings are used), while he was
traveling down the Colorado River.
The southwest is home to many ancient ruins from cultures such
as the Hopi, the Chumash and the Anasazi, but the city described
in the Gazette article is clearly different. The article states
that the race who once inhabited the cavern were of “oriental
origin, possibly from Egypt.”

A legendary site in China, said to contain possible relics left by extraterrestrial beings, will finally be formally examined. A group of nine Chinese scientists are preparing to go to west China's Qinghai Province this month, in what will be the first truly scientific examination of relics said by some to have been left by visitors from another world.
The site, known by local people as "the ET relics", is on Mount Baigong. The area is steeped in mystery - twin lakes on the north of the mountain are quite different as one is composed of fresh water and the other salty water.
The so-called ET relics structure is located on the south bank of the salty lake. Eye-witnesses say that it is between 50 to 60 meters high and looks like a pyramid. The front of this structure has three triangular openings which lead to subterranean caves.

Archaeologists diving off the coast of Shizuoka Prefecture say they have stumbled upon what may be ruins of a submerged city. They believe that the structure - which sits at depths between 20 and 50 meters - dates to the Kamakura Period (1192-1333).
The team has pinpointed about 20 sites of interest within a 1-square-kilometer area, and believe that the structures are manmade. The dating is based on local records which describe land sinking in 1247.

A French scientist has pinpointed a possible location for Atlantis, the ancient and idyllic realm described by the Greek philosopher Plato and others.
Jacques Collina-Girard, from the University of the Mediterranean in Aix-en-Provence, says it could have been sited on an island close to the Strait of Gibraltar, and would have vanished below the waves about 11,000 years ago - just as Plato said it did.
Collina-Girard's evidence is based on a study of sea levels that prevailed as the last Ice Age was ending

All nations, of all times, believed in the existence of a Primordial Paradise where Man originated and developed the fist civilization ever. This story, real and true, is told in the Bible and in Hindu Holy Books such a the Rig Veda, the Puranas and many others. That this Paradise lay "towards the Orient" no one doubts, excepting some die-hard scientists who hold that the different civilizations developed independently from each other in such unlikely places such as Europe, the Americas or the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.
It was in the Orient, and beyond, that agriculture (of rice and grains) and animal domestication were invented. These two crucial inventions allowed Man’s fixation to the soil, and the resulting prosperity led to civilization and the founding of the first cities. It is exactly this fact that is related in the Bible, that attributes the foundation of the first city — called Henok or Chenok, ("the Abode of the Pure", in Dravida) — to Cain (Gen. 4:17). This end at the completion of its alloted time is what is meant by Henok’s lifespan of "365 years".
